About this item

  • Per RSMeans industry study result, installation time is 7.7% faster than our competitors
  • Provides largest wiring gutter space in the industry
  • For use with Siemens Wire Guide load centers only
  • UL Type QAF2

This afci is designed for use only in the wire guide series of Siemens load centers. For use in standard es, pl, eq, or ultimate Siemens series load centers, use the catalog numbers without the "wg" at the end. The combination type afci differs from the branch/feeder afci in its ability to detect series arcing faults. The branch/feeder afci can only detect line-to-neutral and line-to-ground arcing faults. Combination afcis provide protection against the high-energy parallel (line-to-neutral and line-to-ground) arcing and low-energy series arcing. "Combination" does not mean an afci + GFCI. Combination = parallel + series arcing. Combination afcis protect downstream branch circuit Wiring, cord sets, and power supply cords. Siemens combination type afci trip indicators provide a valuable analysis tool to help electricians pinpoint the type of trip. These indicators are in the form of leds that appear near the handle of the breaker. The LED indications will appear for 5 seconds each time the afci is turned "on" up to 30 days after the last trip.

I have a BOSE Soundlink Mini and this brought it back to life. The quality of sound can't be beat, and now it goes everywhere with me again!

My mistake. But these are not CSA approved. They are not allowed in Canada.

These look just like the breakers in my electrical box EXCEPT that the neutral wire is only 3 inches long and needs to be much longer. That means I just spent money on a breaker that can't be used because I don't think it's acceptable to wire-nut an extender on the neutral and it's soldered in so there's no way to put on a longer wire. I can't even imagine how these would be even remotely usable in an electrical box.

I purchased these in May and my electrician just tried to put them in the panel. He said they were used already. The neutral wire should be 12" long and it was only 3". Now I have used breakers I can't use and I am out hundreds of dollars!

This breaker is not approved for use in Canada. It's certified for use in the USA. In Canada, a CSA approval is required.
