Needed sound card after on board sound failed. Ordered a Startech sound card from newegg. Would not work. They replaced card after tech from startech assured me card was bad and would work with Win 7 64 bit. Second card same thing. startech again assured me card would work with win7 64 bit.Despite several people posting on web sites that it would not. This time newegg refunded me/Found this card on Amazon and worked and installed as easy as it said. No problems at all.

I bought one of these but decided the drivers were too bloated and amateurish FOR MY PURPOSES and then tossed the card. Then I found a now-deleted review pointing that there is a 3rd party driver for this C-Media chipset. I retrieved the card and the 3rd-party driver and now everything is fine. I use this in addition to my Gina pro card so I can do 2 things at once. Search code.google.com for "Dogbert" and "C-Media"

I bought this card for the game port since I have the older sidewinder steering wheel and pedals which use the game port. I check the web site for the card and it said they had 32/64 bit drivers for windows 8, and it does. What they dont tell you is that the game port is only supported with the 32 bit drivers. Total waste of money, since the game port wont work. I dont normally write reviews, but I would like to save someone some time and money that is also in my situation. I should mention that the audio portion of the card does work, but I already had that with the onboard.

Purchased it because I read on a blog that it works with Windows Server 2008 R2.This is a 5V 32-bit PCI card and you need to be sure your PCI-x slot is compatible.Somewhat my fault, but the only hint was that it was the small image. I should have examined it more closely. It was so cheap, that I decided to put it in our stock in case someone needs it in the future.

I ordered the Soundwave PCI5.1 card after looking at the product picture and description, and also looking at the reviews for this model and the 7.1 version (both made by SIIG) which had good reviews. All I needed was 5.1 channels so I ordered this card. The card I received looked nothing like the picture in the decsription and was in fact almost IDENTICAL to the "Sabrent SBT-SP6C 6-Channel 5.1 Surround Sound 3D PCI Sound Card" which sells for 10 dollars less at $9.99. If your just looking for a cheap soundcard I would save the 10 bucks and go with the SBT-SP6C. This was a bit of deception, but it works well with Windows 7.

I've been using this card in my computer for three months now without a hitch. The Windows 7 x64 drivers were found very easily on SIIG's website and it was very easy to install. The sound quality is much better than my onboard chip, and I have noticed a small improvement in my gaming performance. Worth every penny!
