I got my kids this Silent Basketball, and they absolutely love it. And I will admit it is much better them playing around with this basketball rather than a normal outdoor basketball, inside the house.The ball is made of foam, which makes it lightweight. It is a size 7, and seems to be about the size of a regular basketball. My kids tried using the indoor basketball hoop they have with it and it was too big to fit through the hoop. It really is silent. When dribbled indoors it pretty much makes no sound when hitting the floor. If this is thrown inside I don't worry much about it breaking anything, it seems not to be much more than throwing a stuffed animal around.It came tightly packaged in plastic with tape around it. It was a bit deformed from the tape around the plastic but if you squish it and try to form it back into shape it goes back to its original state quickly. The instruction card does say it can take up to 48 hours to go back to normal, but in my experience it didn't take more than a few minutes. It did have somewhat of a chemical smell when taking it out of the packaging but that smell faded within a short time.This is a pretty cool ball, that gives me a little relief when it comes to my kids throwing a ball around in the house.

I am incredibly disappointed in this ball. It came in a shrink wrapped bag and after waiting the suggested 48 hours it still was very wrinkly and looks very cheap. It also doesn’t bounce well. I got it as a gift to give because my son has a different one and this one is awful!!!!!!!

This is a fun ball for indoor play. While it does not bounce like an air-filled ball, in most respects it replicates one. Beware that this item is shipped in a compressed shape, so it takes 24-48 hours to return to a true round shape. Once it had returned to form I didn't find any irregularities on it.

I had never heard of silent basketballs until my nephew asked for one for his birthday. What a brilliant idea! I ordered two of them, so I feel like I have a good understanding of them now! One of them I ordered came already blown up and ready to go, and this one came vacuum sealed. It has not regained it's shape as well as I would prefer; it just stays slightly wrinkly - but still bounces well. Overall if I were getting them again, I'd order the other one, but you aren't going to be upset with this one either!

I've tried three of these balls and this was the ONLY one that came without a warp in the shape. It's pretty silent when you bounce it and the size makes it easy to control for larger (adult) hands. It didn't come with that terrible chemical smell but I did air it out for a couple of hours just in case. Very good quality for the money. Would recommend.

The ball was an interesting item, actually performs better than I thought something like this would. It actually bounces well and realistically. when bouncing it in the house here, I wouldn't actually call it silent. You here the thud when it hits the ground, but yes, it's not going to bother the neighbors, unless perhaps the neighbors are downstairs. Can use it indoors or out. Was dissappointed in the packaging of this item. It's vacuum packed, first taking it out of the package its very much out of shape, but it indeed went back into round shape after about 1-2 hours. But the vacuum packing does damage, the plastic material as shown int he pictures provided are all wrinkled, and this transfers over to the item (see picture provided), and after 3 days, it appears the wrinkles are not going away. I am thinking of trying a heat gun to see if that helps, but as stated, this issue leave you dissappointed in the item
