The product arrived defective and inoperable. The battery springs were missing meaning the device couldn't be powered. The jack was also loose. The recipient of this gift was okay using it as a decoration despite it not lighting up. Otherwise I would have returned it.

This silver mushroom disco light is a delightful addition to any space. The mirrored tiles catch the light beautifully, casting playful reflections around the room. It's a fun and quirky piece that adds a touch of sparkle and charm wherever it's placed.

I’ll admit I didn’t read the product description closely and thought this was a hanging disco ball. It’s actually a desktop version that sits on a flat surface and glows from the inside with alternating colors. That said, it still adds a fun vibe to a small space. The build quality seems solid—the mirrors are clean, well aligned, and securely attached. It doesn’t rotate or reflect light around the room like a traditional hanging disco ball, but the internal color shifts give it a cool, ambient effect. Definitely more of a novelty accent than a full-on party piece, but it does what it’s designed to do.

I love mushrooms and I have a disco ball theme in my bathroom, so this was a no-brainer for me. I don't have it plugged in (except to test it), so for me it's just a decorative piece, not a light. So it's nice that there isn't a permanent/fixed cord, but a removable USB cable (that's provided, but a power adapter isn't).I have some minor cons to mention. The construction isn't fantastic. It is strange that there's a glued-shut setup for a battery and a warning that a battery won't work with it, but I imagine that was a money-saving decision. There is one setting for the light, which is to slowly change colors. There's no adjustment of any sort. The brightness is easily enough to admire in the dark, but isn't bright enough to see much with any other light on.If none of that bothers you and you just want a fun disco mushroom that happens to light up, I can tell you I've been enjoying mine since I got it a couple of weeks ago.

We went to a wedding recently and my boys were fascinated with the disco ball that was hanging over the dancefloor. During dinner just staring at it...wondering what it did. I tried to explain that at some point it would be dark in the room and there would be lights shining at it that would then create hundreds, if not thousands, of little stars all over the room. I think they got excited for that moment to come and when it finally did: the real disco ball did not disappoint. At that moment, they decided they needed one for their room.Enter this item. A much smaller version of the real thing, of course. So this one has tons of little mirrors glued on and as much as I figured they would start falling off randomly, they haven't yet. This has maybe a four foot cord attached that has an in-line switch. When you plug it in, it has a light inside that makes it glow various colors. Kind of counterintuitive for an in item that has a bunch of outward facing mirrors. BUT it still works well as a reflector of exterior light too. With the cord being only four feet and the interior lights requiring the hard wired power (no battery option), I don't know if I'll be able to hang it on the ceiling AND have it plugged in. But at its core, the disco ball SHOULD thrive on outside light. Not its own internal essence. I feel like there's a metaphor for life buried in those last few sentences. But let's not get too deep. This is a great value at the price point if you have any little ones who developed an obsession with disco balls. I think I'd recommend getting a spot light or some sort of exterior light source to shine at this bad boy. Because the internal light sort of goes against the essential science of a disco ball. Once you get your head wrapped around that little quirk, this is a fun item.

This ball does not not rotate and does not throw sparks of light around the room. What it does is glow and it's very pretty. It is powered by a USB cord with an on and off switch on it. It doesn't charge up like a phone, if you unplugg it, it goes off. It has a flat bottom, it doesn't sit on any kind of base. It's bigger than a soft ball and smaller than a soccer ball. It's covered with tiny mirror tiles, like a disco ball is supposed to be. The color glows out in between the tiles and they change automatically. I especially like the blue and purple. It's really beautiful and the darker the room is, the prettier it is. It's definitely worth the money. I'm really glad I got it!

I like the concept of this lamp, but it could have been much better in reality. The battery door on the bottom is glued shut (I'm guessing it doesn't have battery components inside) so you have to use the cord, limiting where you can place it. The light is fairly dim for something that isn't battery powered, and I suspect it won't last very long, and will probably eventually just become a reflective paperweight.
