And when the unit came it was HUGE and heavy. They need a picture next to a real person...

When storing this pump make sure every drop of water has been drained out this pump because even if little bit of water is left in this pump and freezes when you are storing it for the winter(mine is in my shed) will cause it to crack. Yes water freezes and expanses, but when it is not in use and both intake and outtake is open(no hoses connected)leaving room for a little bit of water left in pump to expand with out harming the pump. It won’t matter. It still will crack. With any other pump I’ve owned they won’t crack when being stored but this pump cracks every time! I’ve owned three of these. I pull it out of the shed where it has been stored for the winter and it’s cracked. The pump works good all in all but this is a very fragile pump.

We use it to pump water from a spring house up a steep incline to fill our pool. The output is vigorous. Priming is a bit of a nuisance if your plan to turn it off and on frequently (because you have to disconnect the output hose) but I don't mind. I attached a length of sturdy dishwasher hose as the input line. It's powerful, not to loud, and very portable.

Used to pump an old water well to water garden during a long drought in NW. Adequate water pressure through 200 feet of garden hose. Uses a 15 A circuit. Do follow the instructions for input line to pump, i.e., rigid pipe to input. Relatively quiet. Priming was easy.

This a great pump. I use it to deliver water from my rain barrel array to sprinklers. The only two negatives are that it is not self priming and if you turn the pump off after you close a valve to the delivery hose, there is a large back-pressure pulse delivered to the intake. Before discovering that, I blew out a plastic fitting on the intake - one I did not think would see any pressure. Instructions say to not run the pump dry, and don't run it long when wet but not delivering water (e.g. out flow valve shut). The latter can cause water int the pump to get hot and eventually boil. But I have found no significant heating after two minutes of running it that way.

This does work, I like it. It seemed to pump the amount of water needed for what I was doing. I would recommend it.

Arrived with broken handle, still waiting for replacement. Pasted return date to Amazon, tried to run unit but keep tripping the electrical breaker. Found that the fan shroud was jammed into the fan and had broken a number of cooling fan blades. In addition the fan shroud is only pressed on to the frame with no permanent attachment points, unit was rejected as a safety hazard.
