Love these. I can fall asleep and not have to be woken up in the middle of the night by the light because it turns off at the amount of time you set it for, one hour two hour, etc. I ordered two of them.

I like it a lot because I use this when I turn on my wax melties. One hour is usually enough. This works very well for that Because when you get to my age it is very easy to forget. I can see I will be using this a lot.

I have been using the Simple Touch cut-off timers for several years. Pictured above are two examples. The black clog that goes directly into the unit is shutting off a coffee pot just in case I happen to run out of the house and forget to turn it off. This makes me feel much safer .The other photo shows a battery being charged in a recharge unit that is supposed to cut off the power to the battery on its own when the battery is fully charged. That doesn't always work. The result is that I have to buy new batteries which cost about $10 to $15 each. Worse than that is the fact that the batteries were out rapidly if they are overcharged and that means my portable vacuum cleaner only gives me 5 to 10 minutes of cleaning.Using this device ensures that I don't ever charge the battery and prevents a potential electrical electrical fire if I should forget to turn off a coffee maker.

Like others have said, you have to push the button more than once (sooooo much work 🤣) but it does what it advertises. From an engineering/efficiency standpoint having to click only once WOULD be nice. But that's not how this one works. Find one that DOES that if it's that important to you. This shuts off after number of hours you have selected. Works great on my wife's curling iron and my coffee pot that didn't have an auto-off feature. No complaints overall.

I will probably send this back. If you press it once, it goes into HOLD mode, never shutting off. The first press should be the 1 hour mode not that is never turns off. My guess is the engineer that designed this has never used a device like this. You should have to go thru all the hour mode setting BEFORE going into HOLD.If we wanted it to stay on constantly we would not use this, just plug cord directly into the wall outlet. Geez.

Works with my box fan, a small air conditioner, a cheap coffee maker (no timer) and an occasionally used soldering iron. Product is good to make sure you never wonder, "gee, did I leave that on when I left the house?".
