Remember these steps when using our Aquarium Siphon Kit:

  • Place the suction port into the part of the aquarium where the materials you wish to take away are located
  • Ensure that the water outlet is below the water surface
  • Prepare a bucket to catch drained water and point the discharge hose into it
  • Squeeze the operation ball until the water flows out of the aquarium to the bucket
  • Let the gravel/ sand fall back down as you lift and release them while draining while fish excrements and food are being carried away
  • Do not drain the water completely
  • Take away the nozzle from the tank to stop siphoning

Makes cleaning the 10 gallon and under tanks a breeze! Reaches into the little nooks and crannies without disturbing everything. Would recommend. Wish I had bought this one first instead of making do with my big siphon I use for my other tanks!

There is a plastic flap that when you turn the wide part, it opens and closes the wide part from the tubing. When closed, it can’t suck water. If turned wrong, it closes. After maybe 5 or 10 uses, mine closed and won’t open so I couldn’t finish cleaning out my tank. Had to use a pitcher.

It's a good product. Nothing fancy. I use my finger to pinch the water flow as I move from a one part of the tank to another.
