I got this because I'm a musician always looking for new sounds. This flute is a mystery to me, because the description says it's a six-hole flute but it has seven holes. It seems to have a fingering system somewhat like the recorder, but with a weird stretch between the first and second hole. I've also tried playing it as if there was an imaginary hole in the large gap between the first and second hole, similar to how some Native American flutes are fingered. Also, the cloth bag included seems to be for a much longer instrument, so that makes if even more odd.

The sound quality is poor at best. It's very cheaply made. It squeals and doesn't play clear notes. It looks primitive and lovely in its own way, but this is definitely a kid toy. I do recommend this as a practice or play instrument for early learning and very little kids. My kids have enjoyed this and have a lot of fun trying to figure out how to play this.
