Given the brand, I had expected this to be a very useful tool. It's not. It is nearly impossible to see the beam unless in a very dark room. And no, it's not the batteries. Even with fresh batteries installed, the beam is faint, and outdoors it is simply invisible. Also, the program for calculations is not remotely intuitive. Basically, it's a piece of junk with a trusted brand name slapped on it. And this thing wasn't cheap in cost. Two thumbs down.

I love using this thing. So much less flimsy and awkward than using a tape measure, though they have their place. My only recommendations are the screen is nowhere near bright enough to use outside, so make it brighter. It would be optimal to have the ability to change the font size for those who are aging.

PROS: Works really well, is fast and consistent. Readings are often within a 16th of an inch, so if you measure a span as 11 and 15/16, you know it's probably 12. Same thing in the other direction, if you measure something as 11 and 1/16, it's probably 11.CONS: It's really difficult to see in the bright sunlight. What works for me outdoors is taking the measurement and "saving" it by clicking the action button again, then taking it down to a dark spot or cupping my hand over the display to see the end result.Clearly as well, there are some spans that it simply can't measure. So it's not perfect for all measurements, but for the ones it can measure, it works really well.

We liked this one so much, we bought the exact same one for myself. We are realtors and these are super handy for measuring rooms. Love the durability with the carrying case to protect it in our cars. The wheel on the side is helpful for places we can’t use the laser. Sometimes it can be difficult to read the screen if we are in a dark place, but overall we love them.

I'm remodeling my house and this laser makes measuring distances for beams a BILLION times easier. I also need to cut a new angled rafter. Being able to accurately measure angles is worth every penny to me. Saves so much time and frustration from guessing. 100% buy this. You won't regret it. Just look at the reviews. They're the reason why I bought this specific laser.

I love it! This has been a great tool so far. It's pretty accurate when used correctly. I've used it to run trim along a soffit instead a tape measure and it proved to be a time saver. The battery last a while before it needs to be recharged. The auto shutoff function helps conserve battery life. The level function can be a bit touchy and difficult to use but it's still a great addition for quick checks. I would definitely recommend this tool to the diys and professionals for everyday use!
