Cord is way shorter than the image shows. I wanted to cut the pole so it would be shorter and so the cord is longer but once the coupling is in there is no pulling it apart. Base is too small to stay upright so I’ll hold the top while my kid hits.Good idea toy, not worth $50. Probably make one from home depot supplies for $50

This product is very disappointing, we got this for our youngest as he wants to use his older brother’s skillz trainer but isn’t big enough. He used this for maybe 10 minutes before the pole broke from a hit with the foam bat that came with it. The string is not long enough for the ball to swing around the pole like the versions made for older kids. It’s a good concept but the product needs more development and durability

If I can give this 0 stars I would. This thing is trash. The string on it does nothing. It's not long enough to even go around the pole. I'm so mad at how much this thing is garbage. Never again.

My son is 5 and has been playing Tball for a few years. He hits hard. We filled the base with water, per instructions, but he still knocks it down. Also I have to "throw" the ball to get it going. My daughter has the one for older kids/adults and I think the 5 year old could have done better with that one. The alternative to filling the base with water is to fill with sand, and I may try to see if that makes it more sturdy. If not, I'll sell or give away and get another of the bigger ones.

Para principiantes, mi hijo de 7 años, le funciono bastante al principio, ahorita si o sigue usando pero como ya se enseño a batear mejor, ya le da mas duro y la bola que es de esponja dura, empieza a romperse. Lo recomiendo para niños de 4 a 6 años muy principiantes, si no se lo acabaran pronto.

hab es für meinen Neffen gekauft da er gerne Baseball sielt. für zu hause zum spielerisch anfangen , ist dies genau richtig. für diesen Preis also richtig super .

My nephew loved this! His dad even started playing it... it seems like the little kid came out of him as well. It's ideal to use inside or outside as we started inside due to the weather. I would definitely recommend this!

My son loves this SKLZ Hit-A-Way Batting Trainer! This batting trainer is VERY good quality. The ball is attached to the batting stick with a super durable elastic piece. Not only is the ball securely attached to this unit, the ball can't be lost!!! Yay!! The bat is a very good size and is also very durable. I honestly was very surprised that this training batter is so durable since it was really inexpensive! We filled the base of the unit with 'some' (garden) pebbles and he is able to carry his ball trainer around in the yard. With the amount of pebbles that we added to the base, it has never blown or knocked over. The shipping was very fast. I'm sure that anyone that decides to order this for their child will absolutely be thrilled with the quality and durability for years to come!

We were excited about this product, it seemed like a great value, both a hitting T and batting practice for the price of just a hitting T, but were disappointed in the product. The first one arrived damaged (wouldn't hold water in base due to a small crack), so we ordered a replacement thinking it was just a manufacturing defect. The second broke (also in the base) with the first use by our 3 year old son, a huge double crack inside the base that gushed the water out (which, of course, it just falls over if there is no heavy water base). We returned it, and requested a refund (I love Amazon's easy returns!), won't be ordering from this manufacturer again! Instead, we will order a standard T, we're just disappointed this didn't work out: great idea, needs manufacturing work.

My 6 year old wants to learn to hit the ball. I want something that can be placed indoors that he can practice. With mixed reviews, I still decide to give it a try.The reviewers are right in that the material is cheap. The base must be filled with water to provide some level of stability. The pole is assembled from three pieces. The pieces can be assembled in different order as well as in reverse, therefore provide additional height options depending on your kids size and the desired hitting zone (higher or lower).When the ball is properly spun or hit, it will come back in a good location faithfully. However, if the ball is not hit solidly (e.g., tipped or awkward swing), the ball will not come back right. This is where the kid need to re-spin the ball around the post, or an adult if the kid is too young to do it him/herself.There is a another adjustment that needs attention: the rope that holds the ball. The rope can be pulled back and forth to allow fine-tuning the height and distance adjustments. It has a small wrap to keep the adjustment in place. However, after the child hits the ball a few times, the rope/ball adjustment will need to happen again. This is more work from the supervising person, which can be adult or older kid.Overall, it does it's job to help a kid learn how to hit. But it's not something that one can leave the child alone doing it all by him/herself as the rope/pole need constant re-adjustments.
