I’ve worked in retail where I’ve used tagging guns similar to this. This one works great! I got this to be able to adjust my clothing instead of using a safety pin. It’s lightweight. It’s inexpensive. It’s easy to use. It comes in handy when I need to make quick adjustments to my clothing because it has everything included. This tool is the perfect addition to my wardrobe.

This is a nice tool and I had wanted to try it for awhile, so I was glad this was available. It definitely isn't a "stitch", but instead a piece of plastic that goes through the item and holds the two sides together. It's exactly the thing that is used to keep folded clothes together in stores or attach tags. For that reason, I wouldn't exactly call it a stitch and it doesn't hold as tight as it could. However, it did work for what I needed it to do very quickly. I have a dress that I really like, but the way the neckline is, the bottom part opens a little and I don't like how it hangs. It already had a small button type closure that kept the two cross pieces of fabric together, but it often pulled at that part. I've been meaning to either use a safety pin or sew it, but the fabric is really delicate. I was about to leave for a special event and tried this out and it worked! It was a little tricky at first to hold the fabric together and get it to go all the way through (I think it was mainly because of the way I was holding it), but I put two "stitches" in and the dress was the way I have wanted it for awhile & nobody noticed. Glad I tried this.It only has black and white plastic "stitches", so you're limited to what you can use it with. There are a ton of them though. I do like that it comes with extra needle parts just in case.

I just received this little stitch gun and I am over the moon! I debated on ordering it as reviews are often hit or miss and I know that I will want to attach thicker fabric (curtain hems, rolled up flannel sleeves, etc.). The package includes the stitch gun with a pre-inserted needle, a packet of 5 extra needles, the plastic "stitches" (like price tag holders but much shorter), and instructions. The gun features a plastic needle cover that is attached to the gun by a lanyard - fantastic!! I can't lose the cover and it can sit safely in a drawer without poking me every time I reach in! I got to work right away as I was wearing the flannel shirt with rolled up sleeves that constantly flop down. Knowing some people reviewed these as difficult to use with thicker fabrics, I inserted the strip of stitches, folded up my sleeve, carefully pushed the needle through all three layers of flannel, then pulled the gun trigger. Basically, the stitch travels up the needle through the hole it made and when you release the trigger, the needle pulls back and the stitch is torn off from the gun and viola! And it worked! I have now been wearing these rolled up sleeves without any sagging all day! I did worry the plastic stitches could be a little itchy. It's possible - if fabric is super thin and stitch rubs right up against skin, etc. But I think in most applications this will work great! I can see where the size of the needle could damage some delicate fabrics, but I think the trick overall is to not be afraid to work the needle through the fabric as you can as opposed to forcing it and breaking the integrity of the threads in the fabric. Highly recommend as I'm "stitching" away and this gun is working fabulously! Oh, and did I mention it comes in a nice little plastic case that fastens closed and is only about 1 1/2" thick so can be tucked away anywhere!

This little gun applies those plastic things that hold hang tags on clothes in stores. It also functions to actually hold two pieces of fabric together for an emergency repair. I just had a buckle pull off of a backpack strap that was sewn too short to start with. There wasn't any room to put it on my sewing machine. I pulled this gun out and had it fixed in a matter of minutes. I can see using this for repairs on outdoor items since the pieces are plastic and will be weather resistant. If I worked in an office I would keep one handy for clothing emergencies that always seem to happen when you need to look your best. I can also see using it when I try on something that needs to be altered. I can use this gun to 'pin' the line for the new seam to be sewed.

This is sold as a gun to make repairs to torn clothing, seams, or hems, but it is really just a tag gun like is used for attaching price tags to retail clothing. For that it functions fine, and works well for light duty tagging. As a repair tool for clothes, not so much. It could be used in an emergency I suppose, but I suspect a few safety pins would do a better job, as the tag attachment plastic fasteners are not all that strong, and I would hate to have to depend on them to keep my clothes together unless I didn't actually move after the repair. I gave this 3 stars because it actually works fairly well as a tag gun.
