We enjoy leaving our window cracked at night so adding this gives us an added sense of security. The bar is sturdy enough and easy to adjust the length to match the size of your window. Does exactly what I wanted it to do. 5/5

This security bar is exactly what I expected. It is easy to adjust and does a good job. I use it for my sliding glass door and just put it in the bottom track at night.

Decent security bar, too short for my needs. I read that it could be used for doors and didn't check the dimensions which is my bad. It's nowhere near long enough for my needs and really probably wouldn't fit most doors. Make sure you check the dimensions of what you want to secure against its maximum length before you purchase.

I've tested several security bars for windows and sliding doors, and this one stands out as the easiest to adjust for a perfect fit. Unlike bars that rely on a snap button and pre-drilled holes, which limit adjustability to preset lengths, this design allows for precise customization. Previously, I used wooden rods cut to fit the sliding track, which worked well but were inconvenient to repurpose for different windows and doors. Since I recently moved, I had to trim and reuse some of those rods while sourcing additional ones for more windows. I stumbled upon this security bar, along with another that uses a snap button for adjustments. Initially, I assumed the snap-button model would be sturdier, but this one proved strong enough once locked in place. The color blends seamlessly with the window sliding track, avoiding any HOA concerns, and after recommending it to my neighbors, they all found it to be a great solution.

This is pretty sturdy and good quality. I'm actually using this for a different purpose. I have a desk with a middle section that sags a bit and I'm using this to hold it up. I found window rods like this but they're much more flimsy than this.

It holds really well. My husband was trying to open door and didn't even know I had the bar, until it stopped him from opening it. So that means it's a great security protection.When I first opened it, it looks just like a shower rod, but don't let the looks fool you, it's truly heavy duty.
