This product has helped my mom feel much safer at night. You can barely touch the door knob and this alarm goes off, so it would let you know quickly if the door was being messed with long before someone would have a chance to actually try to push it open. The alarm is loud enough but not so over the top it is unnerving. Well worth my investment.

I love how safe this product makes me feel. How secure it makes me feel my home is. My wife and I both put almost all our strength into attempting to get in w the door fully unlocked and just the product simply to see how well it truly worked. We were appalled by not being able to even barely wiggle the door. The alarm itself can be a bit touchy if not screwed in properly so I advise being sure the tool itself is secure and the directions are followed. Overall we recommend this tool.

Getting the Sensor unit tightened on to the pole took a while to get so it didn't spin around, but eventually cranked the screws down enough to get it tight. Works perfectly and alarm is loud enough to hear throughout teh house. Crime is going up in America, so protecting you house and family is important.

My front door was broken open a few weeks ago. I have been in the process of making my home more safe and secure since the incident and this product has helped significantly.1) Set up is extremely easy (5 minutes or less and not complicated).2) The bar is very sturdy and strong. Once you have set the correct angle of the device from the door knob to the floor, it is almost impossible to budge. Make sure the foot of the device is on a hardwood floor or something as sturdy that cannot slip or slide.3) The warning is very LOUD. My bedroom is quite far from my front door but this device will get your attention quickly and wake even the most sound sleeper. It can be heard throughout my home.I recommend this product without reservation.

Mr. Kitteh set the alarm off in middle of night! It is effective at getting the attention of someone asleep! 22pound kitteh scratched at door to get out. It was a good test.The product was delivered quickly with good packaging. Instructions were clear for assembly that only took a few minutes.I feel much safer in my home with this product. It is very sturdy, fits snug up to two different types of door handle and is secure to floor. It is a good amount of squealy loud. Easy to press on/off for a person with limited hand strength.I’m so happy with the product/company that I purchased a second for my senior parents.They both echoed my thoughts here.Thank you for the follow up to see if I was indeed happy with my purchase. The product arrived sooner than expected and was securely packaged. The bar is sturdy and well designed.I feel a lot safer having it at my front door. The alarm is quite loud and would scare any intruder. Looking forward to see how it performs over time.

This particular door security bar, should be labeled specifically as a window or sliding door security bar - not a "door" bar, that can be a bit misleading. Here is why:1. This is a very-very- small tubular bar, 1 inch in circumference.2. See #1, this bar is not preventing an intruder from pushing past. See #3.3. The foot grip dose not have very good tread for traction on your hard surfaced floors. It will work, but not well.4. Do to its small circumference, it should only be used for a lateraling sliding door or window. I do not recommend this particular bar for a vertical door. See #5.5. The V-notched is to small for any door handled THAT IS NOT a knob type; if you have knob handles for your back & front doors, and you are fine with 1 thru 4, above, this will be perfect for you.6. Overall, from a security stance, I did not feel comfortable with this at my vertical doors.Here is the take away. If you are willing to spend a bit more, check out on Amazon the security bars that come up at the bottom, or when you scroll down after you review this on. We sent this one back and just spent a tad bit more money for a better, more stable, and we believe a more secure product.

No sirve de seguridad el metal es muy delgado y corriente se doblo a la hora de probarlo , se supone que es para seguridad, eso nunca hubiera ayudado en una situación de seguridad no gasten su dinero y no lo compren . Dont buy this crap it doesnt work

I was adjusting a drape in front of the door-window balcony this is set up at. It triggered the alarm. LOL but I am extremely pleased! The lightest fumbling or criminal activity will definitely trigger this. Also it is nice to know these are good for hindering the openings into your home. This is used at a slide-across balcony door, but it was intended for a smaller window. It is too long at its smallest adjustment for a standard normal slide-across window in Canada.
