Cable would only support 10 mbs on a 1000 mbs Ethernet connection. Changed to known good cable and connection was established at 1000 mbs. Enough said...

**UPDATE**: December 2024- Still works great!👍*ORIGINAL REVIEW July 2024*- I work online and this requires streaming at times- I live in a household with multiple people using WI-FI all hours.Despite having the router in my room directly next to me- I still have connectivity issues. After purchasing this Ethernet cable- those issues are now long gone! It’s a perfect long length so I don’t have to be insanely close to the router since I use a laptop & can work from my bed comfortably. This is has been a lifesaver!!It has been 2 months since purchasing it & it is still going strong! Great performance, length, quality, for the price too.I use it with my MacBook Air 2015 & eero router.

I showed this cable to my fellow IT peeps, and they were all impressed with this. This cable delivers on a few levels:1) It's a no-driver install PNP solution for most platforms, which is a lifesaver for us techies in a pinch2) The ethernet end is integrated into the cable, eliminating the need for a patch cable that is bulky and takes up more room. This cable winds up small and is easy to store.3) The cable is thinner than a standard UTP cable, and has a nice durable flexible weaved coat on the outside that isn't flimsy, and will protect it nicely.4) It delivers full gigabit bandwidth in my tests with my Lenovo T15 laptop and desktop at work on my test bench. The only cons or possible gotchas I can see at the moment are:1) The USB-C end would need a quality USB-C to USB-A adapter if you didn't have a port for it (easily remedied), but a consideration for us "on-the-go" types who have something like this in our bag-of-tech-tricks. Not all USB-C to USB-A adapters are meant for data transfer, instead are for charging purposes only. This really isn't a weakness since there is a USB-A variant of this cable.2) The USB-C end is a little bigger than most cables, but considering what it is, it's excuseable and almost necessary unless you would want a little "pill" in the cable somewhere.3) The plastic tab for the RJ-45 end is the weak-point for this, if it were to snap off (like some do on network patch cables), you could have a cable that's useless unless you were to wedge it in, to keep the cable from popping out of a jack. This isn't a concern if you take precautions to protect the RJ45 end when storing this in your bag.

This was the perfect cable to which allowed me to finally manage to activate my DJI Neo drone from my Samsung S7 tablet, which didn't have any data plan.It connect the tablet to the net, while the drone connects through WiFi. Worked perfectly!

Got this as I wanted a quick way to hardwire in for ethernet if I didn't have an adapter around. The cable is braided and appears to be well made. The cable works for most devices I have connected it with so far. I have found a couple laptops where it did not recognize the cable and install it. Not sure if it's an issue with the motherboards of those devices or what. For the devices it connects to, it does work remarkably well.

I was intrigued when I first saw this cable. It's a relatively thin cable with an RJ-45 connector on one end and a USB-C connector on the other, and inside the USB-C housing there is an integrated USB 3.0 ethernet controller. I wasn't sure how well this product would work, but I ordered it to give it a try, and it's quickly become one of the most useful cables I keep around. So far I've tried this cable with a variety of devices on both ends (network switches, routers, and other computers on the ethernet side as well as laptops, desktops, and even smartphones on the USB-C side), and I've yet to run into any situations where it didn't work. The USB 3 ethernet controller that is built-in doesn't need any additional drivers to be installed, at least for Windows, macOS, Android, and a couple Linux distributions. One thing that is important to keep in mind is the size of the USB-C connector. It's rather wide (wider than some USB flash drives I own), so it might block an adjacent USB-C port depending on the device you use it with. This is understandable though, since this connector does contain the circuitry for the USB 3 ethernet controller. The outer shell does tend to get fairly warm during operation (something I've seen mentioned in other reviews), but in my opinion it doesn't get anywhere near hot enough to be alarming. The internal components are more tightly packed together than they might otherwise be in a more traditional USB to ethernet dongle, so more concentrated heat is far from surprising. The network performance gives me nothing to complain about so far. I've used this cable for tasks as simple as getting a network connection to a computer where speed wasn't important at all to situations where I needed to transfer very large amounts of data from one device to another over my network. In the latter situation it was faster to get this cable connected to my laptop (which doesn't have ethernet built-in) than it was to use a Wi-Fi connection. I've even used this cable with a couple different Android phones in order to offload large files to a file server on my home network. It definitely saved me time doing that.I'm very pleased with this cable. It feels nice in the hand, it just works without messing about with drivers, and the thin design makes it easy to manage on a tight desktop workspace. I'm definitely going to pick up a second to keep in my bag at all times.

I work a lot with laptops and most of the modern laptops no longer have the RJ45 jacks. I used to fumble around with a dongle and a scramble for an ethernet cord but now I only have to carry one cord. This great 2 in 1 combo performs just as good as my dongles and it saves so much space.
