Used with my Amazon gen 3 cube to increase my hard wire ethernet speed. Cube only comes with a 100mb ethernt port. This Has worked well to bump up the speed. Plug and play.

I was very disappointed to find out that this 1000 mbps adapter gave me slower download speeds than my previous 100 mbps adapter. I documented my speed comparisons and sought out confirmation that the unit was indeed defective, discovering that it’s really a Realtek that Velolink just slaps their name on – they have no technical support to speak of. I queried Realtek and got no response from them either. Amazon sent me a noreply message saying that they had seen my report and would “take necessary action to ensure that the issue is resolved,” but there was no follow-up. Finally, I accepted a replacement without the previous one being confirmed as defective, and sure enough, it was even slower on download. I’m just going to have to try different brands until I find a 1000 mbps model with faster download speeds than my 100 mbps model. I’m definitely done with Velolink.
