Step 1
Fill a large bin or bucket with fresh water.
Step 2
Scoop or pour a small amount of paydirt into a classifier/sieve (a colander works just as effectively).
Step 3
Dip the sieve into the water and shake back and forth to "wash" the paydirt, exposing rocks & gemstones. Repeat with the remaining paydirt.
Step 4
Identify all of the gemstones you have just discovered. For optimal results screen your paydirt in sunlight.

This was a great product. Felt bad for the delivery driver. They were heavy. We received tins of crystals. It was a joy to sift through all the sand.

My kids love to sleuth for rocks. So a bag of sand with stone inside is right up their alley. Came with an identification card that lined up well with contents. Nice variety of colors of stones. Good ratio of sand to stones.

This product is amazing. I love to rock hunt and visit gem mines. With it being cold I took a chance and bought the two eight lbs bags. Just figured it would be fun to try at home. And I was not disappointed at all. The photos I submitted were just from my initial sift. And I have another bad to go through. Wow what fun. Definitely worth the $$. Enjoy.
