For those of us who were around for the golden age of mix tapes, the Semier cassette player is like a time machine. My beloved mix tapes that have rested in boxes for decades suddenly have new life, and the hours of effort put into making them can be appreciated once more. The unit is basic, and pretty bulky if you were a user of old-school cassette players. You have recording controls on the front, just below a small speaker, old school manual buttons on the top for the cassette, a manual notch opener on one side, and the volume, power, audio jack, Micro SD slot and tape/microSD selector controls on the other side. There’s a slot on the back for 4 AA batteries, which have provided good playtime so far (remember when you didn’t have to charge your devices every single night?!).Use is simple - pop in your tape, and press play. Audio quality is just what you remember from cassettes - this was not a hifi format. There’s no Dolby NR or the like, but that’s where the Micro SD and modern audio software come into play. Recording to the SD card is simple, and the included mini CD has the Audacity software you’ll need to take your raw recordings and turn them into something you can listen to on your other devices. Pretty awesome.Overall, this is a great value for the price - it works well, and can help bring a lot of great memories and sounds into the modern era.

So happy to find this since we have books on cassettes and we did not having anything to play them on when in the car since it is where we listen to them. But this allowed us to make them into mp3 files to listen to pretty much anywhere. Of course you are not going to get top of the line results but its comparative to the same as what the cassette plays.

I cannot just play but can also record on this small cassette player. In addition, I placed one of my SD cards full of some of the music I play when I dj and found this mini player sounds great. The design is well built and solid with a little weight on it which provides comfort to me.I have a over 50 cassette tapes that I plan to use this player to convert them all to MP3 using the USB cable provided. I currently use Audacity software glad to know it is supported. I have an analog cassette player it is refreshing having this digital interface.

This is a Portable Cassette Player Recorder, which allows you to listen to your cassette tapes, or convert them to MP3, with the built in Cassette to MP3 Digital Converter via a USB C or included 16GB SD Card. It has an LCD Display, Built-in Speaker and Headphone Jack. The sound is very, very good. It has good volume, easy to operate the analog tape function keys. I would however suggest that familiarizing yourself with the manual before attempting to convert the Cassette to Digital form would be a good idea, I found that out. It has a quaint retro feel, which I love. It is also a very good value, and I highly recommend this for anyone who has Cassettes and want to preserve them in Digital form. The only thing that I would have liked to see would have been a belt/purse clip to make it easier to take walking/running, etc. Other than that, I believe you will enjoy this product.

This lil` wonder caught my eye, ironically; just after I came across a collection of cassette tapes I had made long ago.The dozen + tapes--120 minute MAXELL & TDK-- hold some (now) classic stuff that I really want to preserve.Audio tapes can last a long time..... The average lifespan is 30 years....I recorded these back in the 1990s!This Cassette Player Recorder is a marvel of compactness and performance. The gizmo plays the old tapes perfectly (well, as good as my original recording, anyway)....A digital read-out keeps you informed of the run time.....The transfer to the lil` SD Card is smooth. The play-back is excellent. The only quibble I could make is that the audio volume of the unit is not all that great.I still cannot bring myself to take off a 'Star' rating over the limited volume, because earphones improve that.Power options are 'AA' batteries, or plugging-in to a wall outlet via USB Cable (included) and an Adapter (not included)My classic old stuff is going onto the SD Card, and from there to further long-term storage.Nice gadget!

Nice little player/recorder. Recording on a tape picks up a lot of noise, but transferring old tapes to a more useable format makes this great. It does take a bit of a learning curve but it is doable, and I have so many cassette tapes and no longer have the albums, so it works. Just take the time to figure it out, it works well and not bad for the price. Comes with an SD card which is nice, and a USB. Now....to dig up all the old cassette tapes!

If you are like us, you may also have a large container of cassette tapes, collecting dust. Now, with SEMIER's compact, easy-to-use cassette player and recorder, one can record the cassettes onto mini-SD cards -- essentially upgrading your old music into today's modern methods of enjoying them once again. I like it! Also, the player comes with a built-in speaker, a headphone jack, USB, and a handy, MP3 digital converter, including a 16GB Micro SD card for recording, conveniently provided.
