I’ve tried the other usual brands for cages which all failed in a certain area. This one has been excellent and I really have nothing but good things to say about it. It feels secured and properly locked in, I like that it’s compatible with the action camera shout mount and generally makes the pocket 3 far more versatile.

Im a very big fan of this cage. The only thing that sucks is that I cant find a case that can fit my osmo pocket 3 with this on so I have to use protection just for the screen and gimbal for now. Its easy to take on/off so if you dont mind doing that to fit your camera in a case thats fine too.

This is another good accessory from Smallrig. It has the usual strong build quality and fit/finish that I have come to expect from Smallrig. I first went the cheaper route and tried one of the plastic cages for the Osmo but really did not want to trust it when needing to use it for mounting the Osmo. I should have just got this one to begin with because it was been excellent so far with the 1/4-20 mounting holes where I need them and it is very easy to get on and off the Osmo Pocket quickly but locks on very securely without causing any damage. Great for using in conjunction with magnetic and clamp mounts.

Este soporte para el DJI Osmo Pocket 3 está hecho de una aleación ligera y muy resistente. El soporte tiene una construcción fiable que fija la cámara de manera segura en cualquier situación. Además, en el interior, el soporte cuenta con inserciones suaves para no dañar el cuerpo de la cámara. Una de las inserciones tiene una superficie estriada que replica el relieve de la goma de la cámara, lo que proporciona una fijación aún más segura y minimiza la posibilidad de deslizamiento.También tenía dudas sobre si la pantalla giratoria podría chocar con el cuerpo del soporte, pero resultó que no es así y hay suficiente espacio. Gracias a este soporte, puedo fijar varios componentes accesorios en mi cámara. Además, en la parte posterior del soporte hay soportes tipo GoPro.Pero hay desventajas en el uso de este soporte. Si el soporte está instalado, debo adjuntar un mango adicional y un trípode a la cámara, ya que sostener la cámara con el soporte no es muy conveniente. Aunque el soporte tiene una ranura para el joystick y los botones de control, no me resulta muy cómodo presionar el botón de iniciar/parar la grabación. Aunque tal vez solo necesite acostumbrarme a ello. También debes tener en cuenta que con el soporte conectado, no podrás colocar la cámara en la carcasa protectora de plástico que viene con la cámara, y este es quizás el mayor inconveniente para mí.En general, es un producto muy de calidad y confiable, y probablemente los inconvenientes mencionados anteriormente no se podrían haber evitado debido a la particularidad de la construcción. Mounted this cage to my larger camera to capture vertical video alongside landscape. Easy to mount with a single adapter and still fits all my peripherals. Made very easy when connecting to an inexpensive side handle. ($20) and very comfortable.Giving it the first test run this weekend.

The Smallrig cage for Osmo Pocket 3 not only provides good protection for the camera itself but also provides a few extra points of attachments for accessories. The whole thing clips onto the camera around the camera controls and although the clamp buckle is a little hard to secure, I found that once secured fully it stays on without any fear of it coming undone.There are additional 1/4-20 threaded holes with locating pins to attach accessories or quick release plates on either side of the cage and in the very front underneath the control buttons you will find a magnetic qr mounting area for DJI quick release system. At the back of the cage you will find the fold out GoPro style feet that can be neatly folded and magnetized into the cage itself so that it isnt protruding when not in use. I have seen a few other cages for Osmo Pocket 3 that integrated a 1/4-20 thread in between the two fold out GoPro style feet but sadly this Smallrig one does not have that feature built in. I think that this is the biggest downside for the camera cage as that would be (in my opinion) the best place to place a quick release plate for a camera backpack clip or anything like that.All of that aside, the inside has nice rubber grippy areas for places where the aluminum would make contact with the camera both providing grip and protecting the plastics of the camera which is a nice touch. I think this cage is great for most applications and the addition of coldshoe on the left side of the cage is great for attaching mic recievers or small lighting to the camera. Overall at $30 this is one of the more affordable cage systems for the Osmo Pocket 3 and I think it does 90% of what you will need a cage to do.

The quality of this cage is good and solid, but there are a few minor improvements that could be made in the next version.- The DJI OEM quick release doesn’t fit easily. If you plan to use this cage for a shoulder strap, you should double-check that the claws grab the cage properly before releasing your hand. The quick release adapter by Smallrig (for DJI Action2) works smoothly without pressing the claws hard.- If you have big fingers, it will be difficult to use the control stick or recording button.- There is no hard stop built-in, so you’ll need to arbitrarily align the cage with the Pocket 3.However, there are 1/4”-20 screw holes on the side and cold shoes built for additional DJI microphones which is handy.

Like most smallrig accessories this is actually really well built. It’s very functional. It’s light weight and it’s very durable. Also, it gives great protection to your DJI Osmo pocket and the ability to connect different accessories to it. It’s just a plus this is one of those accessories I love to take on the road and everywhere.

This is a great accessory for the DJI pocket 3 ecosystem. Very small but full featured. A little lighter and seems sturdier than the Ulanzi option which I found entirely too heavy. Many mounting points. I’m glad they included the magnetic mount option, which is what I use primarily. Recommended.
