This is a great little V-mount battery plate — solid build and works exactly as expected. It connects really well to tripod legs or smaller support poles, which is perfect for my setup. Just a heads-up: it doesn’t grip as securely on thicker poles, but for standard tripod legs, it holds perfectly. Super convenient and a nice addition to my rig.

I’m a professional videographer, and external battery holders are essential for my work. I got two of these units, and while they function, they are far from smooth or perfect. Sometimes I struggle to lock the battery in place, the screws loosen very quickly, and the holder wobbles and shakes, making me worry that the battery might fall to the floor.In my opinion, it’s not worth the money, but it does the job as a last resort. If you have no other options, you can buy this, but I would recommend opting for a more solid and better-performing unit.I gave it 3 stars as a credit to SmallRig, based on the good reputation and performance of other products I’ve used daily. However, my honest rating for this item is closer to 2 stars out of five.

Great clamp, and the v mount plate can be removed from the clamp to screw mount to something else. I'm using it on the leg of my tripod to hold a v mount battery, powering my video recorder and camera.As usual, SmallRig build quality is great. I recommend this product.

As usual, SmallRig provided a quality product. I am happy with SmallRig mini V mount Battery plate. It's from metal, looks durable and it's very easy to use on almost every tripod and other type of equipment.Perfect for new models of V-mount batteries. Its compact size and works amazing with my SmallRig VB99 but also with the SWIT V-mount battery which is bigger.

I recently purchased a video light that could run off of a D-Tap to USB C cable connected to a V-Mount style battery for field use. The trouble was that I didn't have a V-Mount battery or the right cable. The battery and cable were easy enough to find on Amazon, but how was I going to mount it all?Enter another great SmallRig product! This V-Lock Mount Battery Plate with Crab-Shaped Clamp fit my needs perfectly. It mounts to any of my tripod legs or light stand poles, and allows for the V-Mount battery to securely lock into the mount. I tried this on thinner light stands as well as some thicker tripod legs and the clamp section fit them all with ease. The cable I purchased allows for various distances from the mount to the light, so that was a win also.I now have quite a few accessories from SmallRig and each one fills a particular niche for me and each is a quality product at a reasonable price. I'm super impressed with SmallRig products!
