I have no real complaints about this feeder camera. The build quality is not outstanding. It had an all plastic build quality. If this somehow drops from where you mount it, don't expect it to survive. In fact I broke a piece of the perch just putting together but I may chock that up to being my mistake but it does show that it has a lack of durability.One thing to keep in mind is that the wifi reach is pretty bad. I have a very good mesh wifi network in my house and the first place I mounted it outside, it couldn't reach the wifi at all. I had to end up mounting it to my back deck so it was close enough.The app works fine enough. They do want you to pay if you want to use cloud storage and the bird finder feature. That kind of sucks which is one of the reasons I removed a star. I am tired of all the companies trying to take more money away from us with a monthly service that should have been included for free.The quality of the camera is about on par with budget security cams. It's good enough but you won't be printing the pictures and hanging them up on the wall!For the price I do feel there is a good value here.

This is a terrific product. We have had a great time watching the birds. Quality of product is good. Camera provides beautiful pictures. If you love watching birds, if you have a parent that has trouble the camera is great company.

This is a great looking bird feeder and was excited to try it. Sadly, I do not have wifi at my house and it only works with wifi. I thought it might have an option to store video in the device on an SD card, but it only loads to the cloud with wifi. I'm bummed.

Man this is cool! I am so impressed by the quality and the technology that this bird feeder has. It is really amazing if you think about what it must take to create something like this!First off, the feeder itself is actually really good quality, so i'm sure longevity is going to be really good. Secondly, it looks good, so i'm not thinking the birds will be afraid to go eat from it. It's pretty bird friendly. We didn't have a difficult time setting it up at all. It was pretty easy i'm straightforward. The app is a pretty cool. Plus the fact that it stays charged by solar power is VERY Helpful!The app is great. The Part of it that tells you so much about the birds is awesome. There's many things that I didn't know. The pictures and video are very clear, so you can see exactly what you're looking at and their movements and how they interact with each other. It's also got this alarm that will scare the S@!%# out of the squirrels trying to eat the food! That's pretty entertaining in itself!!I originally got this as a gift but decided to keep the this one for us. I'll have to get a second one as the gift. It was way too cool to give away!!You can sit and watch these birds for hours on end. It is very, very cool.

We've been wanting one of these smart bird feeders since they first hit the scene. I finally ordered this one based on the features and the reviews of other similar feeders from the same provider.On unboxing, I was pleasantly surprised that the components all feel and look like high-quality parts, particularly the camera and the housing around the camera and seed bin. All the cabling is weather-hardy - you're not going to submerge the feeder in water, but it looks to me like it will stand up in harsh outside weather. I particularly like the engineering of the pieces as they fit together for installation. The plastic is heavy-duty, and the ability to rotate the feeder on its base after installation is excellent. Assembly is very simple.I downloaded the O-Kam Pro software from the Apple store. It's a free download and free to use, with an upsell if you want their cloud service and bird ID service. I am just using it to store on the included 32GB SD card, so no charge. The app is pretty useful, with the ability to live-view, watch stored videos, screenshot live and recorded views. Some fun features for the squirrel battles are lights on and a siren as well as an intercom - you can yell at the furry invaders! It also has night/starlight modes that I'm not using due to a desire to conserve the battery.Physical installation was easy for me. I mounted it on a heavy-duty metal fence post by drilling a couple of holes for the angle brace. I used an existing hole for one screw on the solar panel base along with a couple of binder clips. There are a lot of alternatives for mounting which the directions detail.The attached pics show our installation and a screenshot of a very still bird at the feeder (smile). As you can see the resolution is very good in HD. There's a Super HD mode that I did not enable. I have pretty good WiFi coverage at home inside the house - this unit connects even though it's about 15 feet from the house, and probably as far away from the closest WiFi transmitter you can be on our property.All in all, we love this feeder - the next stop is to fill it with sunflower seed and start capturing visitors!
