No matter what I don’t clean this, the plastic smell remains when heating. Slightly helps to leave lid open while boiling water. This tea kettle would be 5 stars if it had no plastic on the inside of it.Convenient to use. Heats very quick. Impressed with the functionality. Bummed about the strong smell that won’t go away.

This thing has some really cool features that we have been using since we got it. It will keep water just below boiling until you need it. It will also show the progress of the water until it boils. It's a lot more than a regular kettle but if you like extra features, it's worth considering.

This is a wonderful electric kettle. I love that it shows how far along the process of heating is. I also love that the water comes out smoothly even at the highest setting. I thought awhile before ordering this because of the cost. I am very glad I bought it. It is worth it when you make lots of tea like I do.
