There’s not much you can do about it given the design of the gimbal, but there are a few angles in which this can’t be mounted. Still, having options to attach multiple accessories closer to center of mass, not to mention extra attachment points as opposed to just the bottom of the gimbal is well worth the price, plus it’s light and compact.

i gave it a 3 cause the rubber foam is so thin that gave my gimbal a scratch.

Alongside all the accessories needed to produce good content, well a I’ve got Zhiyun Gimbals, and DJI products too, incl a Ronin M . I found this worked on all my devices, all in different applications, with the help of the INCLUDED RUBBER,( TPU,) , Wrap around,( or leave out, ), spacer! NOTE: I MOUNTED ALL OF THE FOLLOWING WITHOUT ANY SLIPPING, or MOVEMENT,( nor were my carbon fiber arms ever clamped down in too hard).Full 7” Production Studio Monitor2 Large LED Lights5” LightDuty Monitor, and an LEDAN Atomos Ninja WITH 2 Extended Power NP770 Batteries, and a Shotgun micAtomos Ninja on a 5” Extension ArmWireless Lavaliere Microphone Tranceiver +A shotgun Mic. While handheld gimbals are a goto, there are several products, most well rounded photographer/filmmakers alike can utilize. Accessory Mounts, I found ranged from $10 - $170, so when I saw this one, Zhiyun offering a well designed , & AFFORDABLE add on brackets. This is designed for their, {As well as fitting other Models/Brands}, equipment of coarse, BUT PLEASE NOTE IT CAN FIT SEVERAL LIKE STYLE PRODUCTS,( saving you a lot of money).It’s A simple 2 piece hinge design w/ a VERY simple yet VERY effective, swivel cinch screw to lock it in place,( included is a very pliable rubber fitted ‘collar’,( if you will). Perfecting in design, the seemingly simple piece, displays a superior advantage upon closer inspection. One Side, or Top/Bottom, is a rectangular Block style surface, w/ 4 -1/4 20 standard holes (1 in each corner), as well as 1,- 1/4 20,( std camera rig threads), hole {in the center surrounded by companion Rosetta Threaded mount( gear teeth). Machined into the sturdy metal clamp, is a mini Rosetta Mount Receptacle,( mini being std cell phone small mirrorless camera units- vs a Large Std Arri Rosetta style mount).Now, I looked at many monitor/light clamps for both my Zhiyun Smooth 4, As Well As my DJI Ronin M; a Full HDSLR Gimbal, and nothing stood out like this,{ AT THIS PRICE point}. Like any Artist I realize better quality will last in the long run HOWEVER, I’ve also learned that just because the OEM Retailer made it, doesn’t mean someone else Or (Co.), can’t produce a near identical item at a fraction of the cost. LUCKILY Zhiyun makes this dual Sided ColdShoe w/ safety Stop head pin, / 5 1/4 20, including a center Rosetta threaded machine mount. It will accept things like a 1.5”, thumb screw, dual Rosetta jointed spacer, w/ thumb wheel tightener, a HD Rosetta thread 3” expansion Arm, or even a 1.5”, Rosetta threaded Action Cam Base Mount. Dozens of Monitor brackets, mic extension arms, etc, all so VERY VALUABLE BECAUSE OF THE LOCKING ABILITY,( to prevent slippage under pressure/weight/ Inertia (run and gun movements). Other solutions were close, done near identical, but not exact.The ColdShoe side is about 1.3 X the size of a typical cold shoe, so with the front Stop Pin preventing accessories from sliding through,( remember filming unlike photography presents many angles twists and turns, so a lock NUT, (screw down), as WELL AS A FRONT STOP PIN, are very important in working in concert.As shown in my photos, I display a couple possible accessories, a monitor extension that fits, and an Action Camera Mount too. Note; more importantly are the Rosetta threaded side that makes a true difference in the strength of this very worthy and valuable clamp. Attachments, light, monitor, Shotgun Mic, DigitalRecorders, Wireless Mic Transmitter, MANY OPTIONS for this great device. And PRICE, is extremely reasonable for the quality fit finish, strong metal , ‘no piece drop design,( by using a swing out cinch screw to add tightening tension), you won’t lose a screw on nut, putting this on your Gimbal, (whatever model you utilize). I found it a homerun on my Ronin M, in all modes, but Off a Tripod 3” Crane/Jib, it was a miracle; as the ronin hangs inverted normally, hanging off a horizontal arm, the only place I could use was the horizontal axis straight Arm, without risking cables entanglement. Ronin M, whatever your device, Zhiyun Dual Attachment Clamp, machined with a female Rosetta threaded joint, is proving priceless!!Enjoy, I hope it helped!!!!!
