Detailed Size Dimensions: Extra Large Luxury High-Back Console
Outer Dimensions
Make sure the Extra Large Luxury High-Back Console Dog Car Seat will fit your console. The outside of this car seat is 18 inches long, 16 inches wide, 7 inches high in the front, and 12 inches high in the back.
Inner Dimensions
To ensure your pet's comfort, make sure the Extra Large Luxury High-Back Console Dog Car Seat is the right size for them. The inside of this car seat is 15 inches long, 12 inches wide, 5 inches high in the front, and 10 inches high in the back.
Important Parts of Your Console
Console seats are secure to the vehicle’s console while the pet is attached with a safety strap from the seat to the pet’s harness. In total, there are four straps:
The safety strap (#1), two containment straps (#2 - only one side is pictured; there is another containment strap on the other side of the car seat as well), and one front strap (#3).
The front strap goes under the lid of the console preventing the seat from tilting to the rear. The safety strap (which is centered and threaded into the rear of the console and is the connection point for the containment straps underneath) attaches the dog to the seat. The containment straps are the straps that anchor the seat to the car.
Installing Your Console
Thread the Containment Straps between the upper and lower seat cushions on both the driver and passenger seats adjacent to the console.
There should be a metal support that the containment strap can go around and then be re-connected making a circle. Another option for the containment strap is the seat post on the floor of the vehicle.
Place the car seat on the console with the Safety Strap to the back end and the Front Strap facing forward.
Lift the console lid and wrap the single Front Strap under the lid and tighten.
This strap simply prevents the console from tilting and is not intended as security in braking or accidents.
Next, open the Containment Straps previously installed and reattach them to the Safety Strap loops on the underside of the car seat. Adjust the straps to tighten the seat to the console.
Once the seat is in place, the clasp on the Safety Strap is attached to your pet by their HARNESS. DO NOT ATTACH TO A COLLAR.

I have a Ford F150 and fits perfect on the center console also fits my husband’s F250. Our pug is 21-25 lbs and he fits perfectly and loves it! I was hesitant because of the cost but I Definitely recommend it, the material is soft not rough as I thought from the photos and the foam is sturdy and it comes apart fairly easily to wash, the buckles to strap it down make it a little difficult to take apart to wash but it can be done.

We bought this for our 13 pound Schnauzer who hates car rides! We got a new truck for RV travel and saw this seat on YouTuber’s “Changing Lanes” videos and decided to try it ~and she loves it! It is secure and comfy and she can see out while being right in between her people. It is expensive but worth it to keep our sweet pup safe and for our future longer travel plans! Thanks to Daisy 💗🐾💗and her humans on Changing Lanes for the idea!

it arrived was so excited. box open no packaging except the amazon box. no directions on how to out it i. so i have guessed. don’t know if even the correct item. for what i paid i am quite disappointed but on the other side if the coin it doesn’t seem to be damaged and like i said no instructions so i hope it is installed correctly. but it does fit well on the truck console

My dog loves this seat, was a little difficult to install. After removing and reinstalling several times we decided it was best to just leave it installed.

I bought the X-Large for the center console of my Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab. It fits nicely and Charlie Brown loves the view and being close to me. He can sit up and watch the scenery or he can curl up and sleep with his chin resting on the ledge (or my arm, when I’m using it as an arm rest)!It was easy to install and stays in place while travelling. It may hang over the back of the console a tiny bit - but it doesn’t impact its functionality.To open the console I have to unbuckle the latch (located conveniently near my seatbelt buckle) and I can open either one or both of the compartments (of course without the dog inside). It’s quick and easy to snap back in place.Highly recommend. I’ve had it for several months now and it is holding up beautifully!

I have a 3 month old Miniature Dachshund and he fits in the car seat just fine for now. Time will tell as he matures whether it will still fit when he is an adult.I read many of the reviews and couldn't find any info on what type of vehicle the car seat fits in other than you need to measure to see if it fits.I neasured my dog and my 2009 Silverado pickup before ordering and found that the X-Large size is what I needed for both the dog and my truck. The base of the car seat is the same size as the lid of my console and still leaves room to be able to use the cup holders.Installation took about 10 minutes.The straps that hold the seat secure to the console seem to be of high quality and strength and does not allow the car seat to move around once installed.The two straps that secure the car seat to the truck seats are connected to the fastener that has the snap for your dogs harness so once he is fastened in he should be safe in case of any fender benders.Overall quality for the product is good for the price.BE SURE TO MEASURE YOUR DOG AND CONSOLE FIRST!!!

It is not as long as I thought it would be, but it is still big enough for my dog. Doesn't fit my Van, but does fit my truck. It is thick and comfy, so my dog will have a comfortable ride and be able to see out the window if he chooses. Now he can ride right next to my husband and myself without being on our laps. More comfortable for him and us.

This does not fit in the console area right between the driver and passenger side but it does fit in the console behind it. My dog can still see us from it and I can touch her from the passenger seat. She absolutely loves it!!! I feel so much better knowing that she is safer and when we put on the breaks she will not go flying forwards. It is very good quality and looks very nice.

Awesome, very well made, worth the extra $$$. We rigged it to carry our 4 lbs Yorkie and 4 lbs Chiuahua by adding a splitter to the tie down. We will also add a heating pad so that we all have heated seats. The Dogs love it.
