I ordered this fan primarily to combat the heat at my metal work desk during the day as well as to provide comfort and background noise at night on an upcoming cruise. Both of these use cases benefit from its magnetic base. I used a USB tester and multiple power sources to rate performance, and I am stunned by the quality of this product, especially at this price point.~Key Features~This product includes the fan, a bundled USB-A to USB-C charging cord, a user manual, and a QC tag indicating factory inspection. The fan boasts several practical features. It has five distinct speed settings, a thoughtful design choice being that it starts at the lowest speed and increases with each press, avoiding an initial blast of air. The tactile power button requires a hold to power on, which is excellent for portability as it prevents accidental activation in a bag. A small LCD screen displays the current battery charge level during use (up to 99%) and shows the selected speed when adjusted; it's not overly bright or distracting imho. The magnetic base is a standout feature. In addition to easily holding the fan on vertical and inverted surfaces, when mounted sideways, the base was able to support the weight of a full, unopened aluminum drink can without slipping (see photo). The fan also features an adjustable head with click-indexed angles that hold firm, and physical stops in the base to prevent over-rotation and potential wire damage.~Performance and Testing~I conducted several tests to evaluate the fan's performance:Charging Safety & Speed: Using various cables (including USB-C to USB-C) and chargers (from standard wall adapters to a 65W laptop charger), the fan consistently drew just under 5V and 1A. I was pleased to see this because it indicates an internal charging circuit that safely limits the power drawn. This prioritizes fire safety and device durability over fast charging. Charging from empty, I observed approximately a 10% charge increase every 20 minutes, suggesting a full recharge would take around 3 hours, which meets the standard set by the manual.Charging While Running: The fan can operate while plugged in and charging. At maximum speed, the battery level did not increase beyond 30% while running and plugged in. However, when set to the lowest speed while charging, the fan ran for over 9 hours at 90% battery capacity. This indicates it can sustain operation indefinitely on low power while potentially trickle charging, or at least not draining the battery further. Ideal for overnight use.Power Source Compatibility: While the manual recommends a 5V/2A power source, my testing confirms the fan operates safely and charges (albeit slowly) drawing only 5V/1A. I prefer this. It indicates compatibility with almost any standard USB port (such as the built-in ones beside cruise ship cabin beds) or low-cost power bank; no special fast charging features are needed.Battery Life: From a full 100% charge, the fan ran at its highest speed for 1 hour and 15 minutes. This exceeds the runtime suggested in the manual. I did not test battery life at the lowest setting because I don't have a use case for it. If I'm inside, then I can plug it in. If I'm outside, 1 hour and 15 minutes is plenty of time for outdoor use, plus I can just lower the speed or bring a power bank if I need more time than that outside with it.~Overall~Based on testing, this fan is a robust and safe product. I'm loving the comfort it's provided in my work space, and I'm looking forward to using it on my cruise–charging while running overnight (attached to the wall of my cabin beside my bed), as well as without a charger (attached to the metal divider while lounging on my cabin balcony).

Just screw in fan like a lightbulb and then turn on the light switch. Use the remote to adjust light and fan settings.
