I absolutely love my little 5x5 black brick. The paper is a nice heavy quality, and has a smoothness to the paper that is often lacking. This stuff is lovely to write on. Oh, and the binding! Perfect. Strong and lays flat. However, to be useful for me I need a traditional A4 sketchbook, the largest SOHO currently offers is too small.Pretty please with sprinkles, 8.5x11 should be a standard offering... :)

I love these little hot pink sketchbooks. Every morning I use yesterday's leftover scraps of painted collage paper to start a collage spread in the sketchbook. When there's leftover paint, I skip ahead and color a few pages to work on later. The book lies beautifully flat to make working across a spread very comfortable. The paper is nice, takes glues and wet media well, buckles a little if really wet. The binding holds up well in spite of all the additional layers of paper I add. The elastic band is very handy for keeping the sketchbook closed.

This is a perfect sketch book for any medium. I haven't had any bleed through so you can work on both sides if you want.

Love it. Not really the color of a paper sack like usual kraft paper, but more yellowish-greenish like the cover. I love Soho products. Paper is smooth and loves acrylic markers and many mark making tools. Book opens nice and flat. Nice size.

Really nice mixed media journal. The paper is really good for watercolour, gouache, coloured pencil etc. and the open spine gives this book an interesting look that I like. Even thought I like the pink colour on the over I painted my cover with acrylic paints to customize it.

I love the gray tone, BUT this is not multi media paper and my book is already falling apart after 3 drawings. I will give this company another try though.

I got the very small one for my 8 year for her first Inktober that she finished. It was the perfect size to give her confidence working with technical pens.I got the larger ones for me. I used one for my practice drawings/pen and ink. I was so pleased I bought another one. The first one had indentations on the cover like many things had been laid upon for a long time. The 2nd one was fine. The covers are near impossible to draw on. I used stickers to label them. I used my 2nd one for Inktober 2024. I love that it lays flat for a double page spread. It was 80 pages and I almost filled it up due to the double pages. I got the mixed media paper. Ink did not bleed through but markers do.
