There definitely are hard and can see it breaking down very slowly. We had sprayed rain water into it to soak and then we grinded it up and added to soil so it can cook before use. Feed the Soil not the Plants. Will purchase again. And also bought there liquid type. All good stuff for what you need it for. Very low smell good value for the size bag

What was important to me was that I use an organic fertilizer without any chemical additives that could ultimately end up harming me or my family. I hadn't used anything like this before but my neighbor uses it in her greenhouse and recommended it so I gave it a shot. The result? Well if I use any more of this then I'll need to add more garden beds because my plants are taking over. Wonderful stuff. Not only did I get tremendous growth, but some of my vegetable plants that had been damaged by drought somehow recovered. Very happy with the product and would highly recommend.

I've used these pellets on my rhododendron, stubborn areas of grass, tomato plants and even an area that used to be as devoid of life as death valley. That area is now thriving with beautiful flowers and the soil looks super rich and healthy. Love this stuff!

My raised veggie garden needs some fertilizer and enhancer to be added to the frozen soil before planting in the Spring. So, I purchased this product and proceeded to spread it on my garden. When I opened the bag, there was no smell and the pellets were easy to spread evenly on my frozen soil. I expect the pellets to gradually break down over the next two months of snow and rain. Can't wait to plant my garden in the spring!Also, I have a few plants in my house that need a pick-me-up. So, I made a "tea" by soaking a handful of pellets in a 2 gallon container and watering my indoor plants with some enriching fertilizer. They just lapped up the added nutrients and look happier already:)

Great quality fertilizer, arrived quickly, and well packaged! This stuff is unbelievable! Tomato plants and pumpkin plants more than doubled in size and produced so much more. I highly recommend to anyone looking to increase their garden’s fruitfulness in an easy and organic way.

These pellets were supposedly odor free but they did smell like manure when used.
