This pump works well and I like that it has a battery. However, if the power drains at night there isn’t an auto on feature, so you have manually start it again.

At first I was gonna return it because I didn't think it was working but I didn't have enough charge and didn't hold down the power button long enough. I'm still trying to find the best placement for the panel so I haven't gotten a full charge yet. Anyhow I have numerous aquariums and some are too far from electrical source. This pump, on only 1 bar of charge, was able to filter three 10 gallon tanks (sponge filters) with strong bubbles. Way stronger than I expected, better than a regular Tetra pump! I am curious to see how many it can handle and for how long. One bar of charge only lasted a few hours though. The hoses aren't great, they are the softer type which can be difficult to slip onto the barb. I usually don't use the softer hoses as I feel they aren't as efficient at delivering the most air. This was a good buy overall.

We have been having crazy storms here lately, and I’m a newbie with a salt water tank and some beautiful clowns, so my saltwater groups have suggested a solar powered air pump in case power was lost, that way it still oxygenates the water! This is an amazing, absolutely love you can charge it or use the sun. It’s great for tank transfers and if I lose power for a period of time! I have a 32g so I’m not sure about other size tanks but it’s awesome for mine.

Bought this to use when fishing for the minnow bucket. It works prefectly to keep them aerated. The old pump we used was battery operated and with this being solar powered it is much more convenient.

I'm new to this whole aquaponics thing but I do know that fish need oxygen in the water and these bubblers are good at that. I know they need it because authorities say it's important but also because when I have these bubblers going, the fish seem to congregate around them. I have an outdoor tank and, while I do have an extension cord running to it, I like the idea of taking as much electricity from the sun as I can. The solar panel that comes with this is twice as big as my last and, naturally, it powers twice the air. The two bubblers seems to be perfect for my ~25 fish in my 175 gallon tank, but I'm new, so I may be way off.Not only do these bubblers get the fish the needed oxygen but it also is a fun game they like to play because they think it's food so they go for it (I think the second pick shows that). My big beef with this kit is that the solar panel doesn't have a stake to put it in the ground, so I have it very precariously sitting on top of the pump that's attached to the side of the grow bed. It has already fallen off once and that's a problem when you need constant energy. It has cheesy legs that can attach to a nail or screw, but that's not ideal. It's still a good value at under $35.

I use this in an outside 100 gallon water trough. This trough is not close to any ac outlets, so this solar powered setup was a real problem solver for me. It powers two sponge filters and has plenty of output. The pump lasts all night, and that was not expected. Being Arizona, we do get more solar exposure, so I will see if it can go all night once the days, and sunshine decline. You can see in the pics the bubbles on the surface from the pump. Since I attached sponge filters, I can't give you any info on the included air stones, but they did look to be of a good quality, and quite large in size. As for the quality of this pump, I give it high marks. The included paperwork mention that it can handle some rain, but they suggest to provide some shelter in heavier weather. I can say it didn't miss a beat, even when I forgot to cover it up a few days back during a heavy rainstorm. So I'd say you don't have to be real concerned with how it will handle the weather, but I do plan on making a cover to ensure continued operation. All in all, a well made and excellent performing solar powered air pump that I can recommend highly !
