These fountains work GREAT and they not only look pretty, they sound soothing, with lightly splashing water. I have this one in a deep bowl on my back deck, and all of the water splashes back in. It still runs out several times a day due to evaporation. Good thing my husband is retired, because we run big pitchers of water all day when our 2 fountains are going. I LOVE them, but they are in time out right now- we have to do other things.

Such a fun solar pump! Works like a charm, creates a soothing little isle of comfort in the dreadful blast-furnace heat of N Texas this August. The birds love it .. I'm waiting to see if a squirrel dares to enter ;-) Could even use it to enhance a 'dead' water feature. The possibilities of use are as limited as your imagination. Arrived without any hose connecting pump to the spraying top that floats on water. Seems like maybe used sold as new or simply poor quality control at factory; mfg oversight. Probably would work fine with hose but, its different size on pump outlet and spray inlet and not a size to be found on us retail shelves so back it goes. Sad waste of resouces start to finish - the fuel moving this item alone makes it a sin against the earth; lesson learned.

A simple solar unit that gets wet and still works as long as the sun shines.... stops when the sun is blocked. Birds are not afraid to get closer.

Couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work until I found the suction cups out the pump were put on upside down
