After charging the floating lights and turning the light on in the water…the remote control doesn’t work. I pulled the plastic tab. I am not impressed enough by the product to get in my car and drive to the store for an obscure battery that no one keeps on hand.

The lights work and appear to be watertight in our pool (so far). They do appear to recharge each day, but the automatic sensor does not work. I have to manually walk down to our pool and press the Power button to turn them on, then select the color, even though I followed the directions to enable the auto light sensor. I would think the sensor setting would cause them to come on automatically each evening at dark without me needing to interact with them. I can't find anywhere on the Amazon listing showing how to reach out to the manufacturer to ask about this feature. If they contact me and help me get this resolved, then I will update my rating & review.

I’ll admit, I didn’t expect to be this impressed by what basically looked like little plastic UFOs. But these solar-powered (and USB-rechargeable!) pool lights have turned out to be a pleasant surprise—both fun and functional. Whether you’re adding some color to a summer evening swim or just jazzing up the yard for a get-together, they’re an easy win that doesn't involve running cords or fiddling with app setups. Best part? They work right out of the box, and you don’t need a degree in remote control programming to enjoy them.My Rubric✅ Good = Qualifies as a selling point➖ So-So = Not great, but also nothing resembling a showstopper❌ Not Good = Could be a showstopperMy star ratings, which tend to skew upward due to limitations in the 5-star system, are further elaborated in a decimalized scoring at the end of the review. Finally, although some items have been freely offered via the Vine system, I refuse to sell out and will never allow a vendor to influence my scoring through any means other than the quality of the product, both on its own and in relation to the current pricing at the time of my review. I value the efforts of other honest reviewers and wish nothing more than to pay their efforts forward in hopes of faithfully guiding others to informed decisions. The Good✅ Dual power options – Solar and USB charging means you're covered even on cloudy days✅ Color and brightness options galore – Dynamic RGB modes plus steady white light for visibility✅ Remote works well – 360° range and long distance make it easy to manage without getting wet✅ Waterproof and durable – Floats well, survives bumps, and seems built to last✅ Versatile design – Can float, hang, or rest on a table or lawn✅ Good battery life – Lights stayed on long after sunset during testingThe So-So➖ Slight learning curve on the remote – You have to press a button on the light first before the remote will work (not a big deal, but worth noting)➖ Might need anchoring – These do float away or head for the skimmer, especially in smaller poolsThe Not-Good❌ Not quite as bright as some photos suggest – Pretty and festive, but don’t expect stadium-level lightingThe DetailsThese floating lights pack a lot of features for their size. At about 6.7 inches across, they’re large enough to make a visual impact but not so bulky that they get in the way. They float nicely and give off a pleasing glow that reflects beautifully across water surfaces—especially in pools, ponds, or even just a decorative garden basin. If you're planning a party or want to create that "resort vibe" at home, they punch well above their weight in terms of ambiance. The lights cycle through 6 dynamic modes and 7 static colors, and with a 2600mAh battery, they last a good while before needing a recharge. I especially like that they’re not tied to the sun alone—USB charging is a game-changer when it’s been rainy or overcast. They’re also light enough to hang from a tree or rest on a patio table, making them more than just pool décor. They’re not flawless, of course. You might have to retrieve one from a pool skimmer now and then, and they don’t emit a ton of raw lumens. But as floating accent lights with flexibility and charm, I think they’re a great addition to summer evenings—especially for the price.Final Rating: 4.4/5(Clever design, great lighting options, and dependable dual charging make these a hit for casual fun or low-stress party planning. Just don’t expect them to replace your porch floodlights.)

I ordered these for the warm Summer nights that my kid just doesn't want to get out of the pool. They're bright and provide her with plenty of light to still see what she's doing and help her climb in/out safely. They also add a romantic ambience on the nights my husband and I want to relax in the pool. I love the bright color choices, there's also plain white when you're solely looking for extra light to see. I'm not sure how long they actually stay on for, we haven't had them shut off yet though and we're good about turning them off when not in use. They do seem to be charging in the sun just fine, so I'd say they work exactly as advertised. They are lightweight, yet still feel incredibly durable. I'd say there's great bang for your buck with these pool lights. They just float around and you can use the remote to choose your color(s) from a distance, they make for great pool party lights. I don't think water is getting inside them but, if it is, it's not enough to effect the functionality of them.
