As others stated, within a few weeks the window fogged up. Now that it’s beyond the return date, the thermometer has stopped displaying a temperature all together. I WOULD NOT recommend this product.

I used an older pool thermometer to check stream temperatures, and it took about 5 minutes to give me a correct temp, but this one does it in less than a minute and is super accurate! And you can't go wrong with the solar, it never needs a new battery

I've only had this about a month, so the jury is still out as to whether or not it will eventually leak.The temperature display is relatively small in my opinion, and located on one of the three "lobes" of the upper float, so you have to make sure it's rotated toward you, and in my case anyway, I have to lean down or kneel down next to it to read it. It displays the temperature to a tenth of a degree, but the tenths digit is TINY!It does not require a battery. This is worth mentioning because I've owned "solar powered" pool thermometers in the past that still required you to change out the battery once every 1-2 years. Since this requires that the device be opened, the seals eventually fail and leaks occur. Not a problem (so far) with this one.

This thing works great. It floats on top of the water and works off solar. Shows the temperature of the pool in clear, easily visible display. It comes with a string so you can tie it off in a specific location instead of allowing it to drift towards the center.

Side story? My dog who loves swimming usually eats these, however, this one she isn’t interested in at all! I really really like the digital screen for the temperature. Photos taken were about 4ft away and you can still see it clearly. Awesome product and definitely recommend!!!

I've been using this in my outdoor cold plunge tub for a while and have been happy with the results. Temperature reads just fine every time and the display is big enough for my bad eyes. I was a bit surprised at how HUGE this thing was, but I guess it's because it's meant to be in a giant pool, not my little cold plunge. Highly recommended!
