The soldering iron is a little flimsy, but it does the trick for what I needed it for. It's nice that all the neat accessories came in the package and the carrying case keeps everything together. Happy with it. Quick ship, too.

J'ai vu après l'achat que les seuls bons commentaires avaient tous été achetés par le programme "Vine"... et pour cause...J'ai donc réellement acheté ce fer et je vous le déconseille très fortement si vous souhaitez faire de la micro-soudure de composants CMD. En effet, le bout de la panne ne chauffe pas, il faut remonter au moins 5 ou 6mm plus haut pour réussir à faire chauffer l'étain... donc inutilisable dans ce cas de figure et vous allez gâcher des composants...Si vous souhaitez juste souder des "gros composants" et que vous avez de la place pour arriver sur le côté, c'est faisable, mais tellement pas pratique...Je vais monter en gamme, ce que j'aurai dû faire immédiatement.

This soldering kit has pretty much all you need for small projects. The tip heated up remarkably quickly and was ready for use almost as fast a soldering gun. The supplied accessories help you with both unsoldering components and insulating splices with the included heat shrink tubing. The only accessory supplied that I could not figure out was the small wrench. It did not fit anything in the kit. My only complaint is that the line cord is only about three feet long. You need a work bench with close outlets or an extension cord to use it easily. The fact that the temperature is adjustable allows you to supply enough heat to solder heavier wire that would otherwise not get hot enough with a small iron. The included carrying case stores all the accessories except the rest stand once it has been assembled. The included tips were easy to change and could also be used for projects like wood burning etchings. The low price seems like a bargain to me.

This soldering kit is compact, practical, has a large assortment of tools, nice carrying case and meets my expectations. This product is a complete set for on-the-go repair or an electronics beginner. I appreciate both the six soldering tips and adjustable temperature control right on the handle. The soldering iron heats fast and does an excellent job melting solder at the appropriate temperature while protecting your hand/fingers with its silicon grip; the included stand is flimsy unless it's weighted/anchored down. De-soldering tools are handy so the copper wick and pump can be viewed as valuable extras. The solder spool is unlabeled so a slight mystery but appears to be .8mm tin (60%) and lead (40%) solder. This kit is a great value, I'm happy with this product and recommend it.

This soldering kit includes everything you need to begin soldering including some test PCBs and wires. I used this kit to desolder and solder new switches on my keyboard. It is a pretty standard kit soldering iron and cannot complain for the price. The soldering iron stand does not fold back into the case and must be dissembled but I prefer this as it is sturdier this way. The iron itself heats up within a few minutes to max temperature. The handle does get a bit warm but that can be expected for a soldering iron of this price range. It uses standard tips and includes many extra tips of various shapes and sizes. I used my own solder as it was not clear what type of solder is included in the kit but I am sure it works fine. Recommend this kit for anybody wanting to get started with a soldering project.
