I needed extra styles of tips and really like Hakko tips for my Hakko FX-888D. There are other less expensive versions but I believe in Hakko's quality parts.

Got the T18-C2 to replace one of the cheap bits that came with my soldering iron. Huge improvement, stays cleaner, solder sticks better with less oxidisation, and just seems better quality all around. Highly recommend!

Comes with 1 tip, not 2. Still, it's great. I have a larger pad I need to solder and in connected to the ground plane on the back of a PCB. The regular tip can't get the joint hot enough but this tip does it no problem. I also really like that the tip can hold a bit of solder on the surface which is useful since I don't always have 3 hands to hold the solder, part, and the soldering iron.

Both this listing and the (sealed) plastic package I received say "2 units", but there is only 1 solder tip inside.I haven't tried the tip yet and don't know whether it is genuine.

The bevel is handy for holding extra solder, for those jobs where holding solder wire near a joint just isn't practical, and/or you don't need much solder at once.
