Don't let the variety of pieces fool you. These tips lack any quality in retaining heat, let alone transferring it to the component that is needed to melt the solder. It will melt the solder if placed directly on the tip but will not heat the component to the needed temp to melt the solder. I understand that based on the price, the product isn't professional-grade material. I was at least looking for something that would work for DIY, and this product does not even accomplish that type of work.

Works great and multiple tips help in tight places or very small circuits

The tips have a smaller diameter than the original tips so when installed they would fall out of the iron.

These soldering iron tips do the trick, they're not the best in terms of being able to heat quickly and retain their heat over time like some of the more expensive tips can. However, they present a great value for the kit at their current price point and being that you get a large bulk of tips they'll last you quite a bit of time before going bad. So far, they've soldered well and I just give them a bit more time to heat up and take a bit more time with them and they're working acceptably well.

Finishing is a little rough in a couple of places, they're not a luxury product but overall they are good and they do fit the weird Radio Shack digital soldering stations. The selection of tips here is commendable and includes a hot knife and angled fine tips. For most jobs, this will likely get the job done for you and this whole set cost me less than 2 tips from 'brand x'. These are a good deal.

These soldering iron tips work great on my X-Tronic solder station. They will work fine on any of the 900 version irons, like Hakko, etc. I particularly prefer to solder with the fine bent tip since i can use it for many situations....so i can drag solder using the tip to bend, or i can use it for heavier soldering like reinforcing posts using it from the bend up, since it is much thicker and carries more heat, if that makes sense. This means you are not wasting time with switching out tips all the time. However, if you prefer to keep switching, this set has all the variation you could ever need. I really like the heavy chisel tips for heavier heat sinking applications.Of course, these are "value" tips and not expensive genuine Hakko tips, but that's why they are a great price. So they may be a slightly sloppier fit than expensive ones and need a touch more heat on the dial. I am happy with that but, if you aren't, then you need the much more expensive ones. These work just fine for me and they are a bargain price.

My review is for the "14pcs Mix" kit. The kit is a good value (NOT a great value...) if you want an assortment of different size tips. These fit my classic Hakko 936 soldering station very well. These tips work good but not great. The real Hakko tips are better, no doubt, but those cost a lot more. These end up costing around a dollar per tip, which is solid value.I would order again but would choose one of the options that only has 1 size tip, because I seldom need to use a different size tip than what I normally use (which is a medium size wedge-screwdriver style of tip).Overall, therefore, I give this 4-Stars. Good value for the price.

5 of these were too large in diameter to fit. Some were small as well. The small ones will work. The larger ones will have to be sanded or ground down to fit. I would not be surprised if someone got these and they were all completely different sizes and didn't fit. Don't buy these if you don't have a grinder.
