This item is the attachment piece by Solomark Versatile Tripod Mounting. It’s a solid metal and will have no problem holding up a pair of binoculars weighing 4-7 pounds.My personal use of this item was difficult because the knob that turns until tight wouldn’t tighten which then made my binos very loose while balancing on this mount therefore I couldn’t trust it. I will be ordering another one.

You get what you pay for.I should have know better and not tried to save a few dollars. But I figured how hard can it be to make a bino mount. I was wrong. The threading on this is junk. Can barely screw it in and out of the mount. Have to use way to much force. tried on my vortex diamond back 10x42 binos and will not thread in. I Probably could of forced it on, but you should not have to do this. Should thread in very easy. I will be returning this.

This light weight, yet very sturdy metal mount is awesome. It has made using my binoculars with a mono pod amazing. I use it for star gazing mostly, so with this adapter and the pod I get very sturdy views of the stars.

Save your $7.00, add another $12.00 to it and get the Vortex adapter.This thing is real junk. You do NOT want to screw this onto a good pair of binoculars, it will screw up the inner threads - QUICK.

Exactly what I needed for hunting. It bolts on to the front of my Nikon Action Binoculars and it's mounted down on the tripod platform.
