This binocular tripod adapter is lightweight, both in the literal and construction senses. It's all plastic. It's OK for small-to-medium binoculars, but it wouldn't serve It's purpose for heavier or >10x binoculars because it allows the binoculars to shake if you hit the binoculars or tripod. The same item in all aluminum would be great. As a way to hold binoculars rock solid on a good tripod it is, at best, mediocre. It would be 1 star at anything over 10 bucks.

Keep in mind the whole thing is made from plastic, but a solid feeling plastic. The fittings seem to be brass. Everything feels solid in the hand with no issues. This allows me to freely adjust and setup my binoculars for long range viewing without any issues. Threads are all nice and smooth.No manufacturing defects or issues.
