This is such a good deal on a waterproof controller. Reading other reviews I worried it wouldn’t work but it works exactly as described. I wonder if people had the positive negative reversed when they tried it as it does absolutely nothing when you do that (doesn’t have a warning light about it). My last controller had stopped protecting from an overcharge but this one is keeping the charge level just right.

I needed to hard-wire the charger to my panel so I cut the wires. Based on the size of the wires, you'd expect these to be 12 gauge, but it's all rubber. If I'm being generous I'd say these are 16 gauge wires at best. Maybe with PWM chargers that's sufficient, but I'm skeptical.

I did not get a chance to use this device before return item has expired so when I took it out of the box hooked it up to the car the lights would not come on no power would come out the other end I tried to contact the seller two times to make sure I was connecting it right which it's not very hard to make any mistakes it's too easy to hook up Therefore since I could not get a hold of the seller I would just say avoid the seller who can't even respond to help thank you

I have this hooked up to a 10 watt panel that charges an 18ah AGM battery in a homemade stereo I made out of a cooler. With my previous controller, in direct sun (an no electronics running), it would peak the voltage at ~13.8 volts. This controller brought the battery up to ~14.3 volts. Also, the previous controller never indicated the battery was ever fully charged (when hooked to a known fully charged battery with the panel in direct sun) while this one, under the same circumstances, indicated the battery was full within a few minutes. When out of the sun, all lights on this controller turn off so you don't get any current draw or discharge. The previous controller always had an indicator light on, regardless of lighting conditions. I also appreciate the SAE connections that make this easy to quickly connect and disconnect. I'll update this review if anything changes, but overall, this seems to be a solid little unit.

The controller that came with my Harbor Freight solar panels was not water proof and died the first time it rained. This one works great and rain doesn’t hurt it.

I use it with a 15-watt panel to maintain the charge on a 12-volt deep-cycle battery. It can also be used for a standard lead acid car/RV battery as well. As long as the sun shines it provides power to the battery until fully charged. I am very pleased with this controller.

This is a replacement for one that I purchased 2 years ago. I really like the fact it is water proof. Works great to keep my RV battery charger for the winter.

Worked good for about 9 months. Confirmed good battery and good panel. Charge controller died. Most likely will buy something better.
