The ignitor has a feature to push in and twist to lock the flame, but this get engaged accidentally very easily.Requires too many refills. Assuming there's a leak or something.A piece of the plastic was broken on the bottom side above the trigger, so maybe it was damaged during shipping.Disappointing.

I bought a pair, (one for house and one for garage), unboxed them, fueled them with the Ronson brand I had on hand , and they were both up and hot first pull of the trigger. Easy to adjust and the wide base provides a stable platform. Bottom line is I believe this is one of my smarter purchases.

Our only source of heat is a wood burning stove. This makes lighting the stove a cinch. I run a mountain retreat center and have to light all the stoves in all the cabins when we have people coming in. This makes fast work of a big job.

Due to the arthritis in my hands, I cannot use regular lighters. It’s too hard on my hands. These butane lighters are so easy to use and refill and I use them often because I love my candles.
