The Sony ICD-PX470 Digital Voice Recorder has a convenient built-in USB direct connection for fast and simple file transferring. Without needing a USB cable, plug the recorder into a USB port to quickly transfer files.
Included microSD Card Slot
There are 4 GB of built-in memory in the ICD-PX470, providing a maximum recording time of 59 hours and 35 minutes (in stereo at MP3 128 kbps). With a micro SD card, you can expand this capacity by up to 32 GB of extra memory. With a 32GB microSD card, you get the equivalent of more than 536 hours recording time.
Calendar Search
Quickly find a file you're looking for with Calendar Search. The calendar marks recordings by date for easy organization.
Transcription Playback Mode
Review your recordings with Transcription Playback mode. You can easily fast-forward and rewind or create cue points in the track to save your place. With Digital Pitch Control, you can slow down the speed of playback for closer listening.
Reduce Unwanted Background Noise
Eliminate unwanted low-frequency background noises with the low cut filter. Projectors, traffic or wind will distort your recording, but you can filter those sounds out to focus on the voices.

Battery drains fast. Not rechargeable. So, costly. Picks up noise. Every time we change battery, we should set time. It is nuisance.

Seems good but far from easy to use. Sound quality is fair. A less complicated recorder would have been better but I need one effective up to at least 40ft.

Super easy to use. Great sound quality. I dictate my diary into it or whatever thoughts occur. Also, I had to use it to record a negotiation where there was some shenanigans going on. That was worth the price right there. It is small and the controls are well placed. I recommend it. I bought another as a gift for a friend and she loves hers too.

Incredible little gadget! Plenty of settings to record voice or music....even settings to use as an MP3 player. Mics have great mid-range sensitivity but lack a bit in the high and low frequencies. I just use a small extension mic to bypass this. The USB port slides out for transferring files to your computer. Even has built-in software for managing them. Records wav files at 16/44.1 and 3 levels of mp3s. Tiny, light and made very tough. Excellent!

The Sony recorder is awesome, the accompanying SD card was full size, not micro SD, as indicated and the size required by the recorder. I'm fortunate that I could re-purpose and not have to return.

With the appropriate microphone setting, it adjusts automatically to varying sizes of conference rooms and medium sized auditoriums. Have not tried it in a theater. Controls and easy and somewhat intuitive.Built-in speaker is not clear at all and I use earphones to listen to playback. I have also downloaded the file to my computer and played through it. The SanDisk micro-SD card I inserted did not allow the rubber flap to close due to a rib on the flap. Had to trim that rib. Delivery was on -time and in good condition.
