The pole didn't go all the way together and it was supposed to be 6 ft 8 I believe and it was only 6 ft

UPDATE: Used this pole on the Big Lost River this last weekend. All I had was 6lb line, no swivels, and some small spinners. What I found was that, first of all, I caught a 9-inch rainbow trout on the my first cast, but because most of the flex of this pole is in the tip, the casting distance is average-to-short. But on 4lb line, with a good swivel set and the same lures, this pole would have been perfect. I ended up catching about 10 fish, most very small, but even a small fish on this light rod feels like a lunker. Highly recommend this setup.I’ve purchased a few fishing poles through Amazon, and all of them have been OK. But none have been right up my alley if you know what I’m saying. It’s one of those things where you have a preference for the type of set ups that you want, and it’s hard to get it without actually having the merchandise right in front of you, in your hands. I finally found a rod and reel combo that is exactly the kind of set up that I use all the time and really love to have on hand. And that is this rod and reel combo.This rod is relatively short, normally I would have about another foot on this length, but it is extremely convenient, has great eyelets at good spacing, and a very flexible tip with a sensitive feel to the entire rod.The reel is compact, seems to be constructed of all metal, and has a very smooth action, bail return, and the drag is just perfect for 2 to 4 pound fish on light tackle. There aren’t many downsides to this rod, but if I could choose to have an extra long cork handle, or the style of the end of the handle on this ride, I would just choose an extra long cork handle. But in the end it really doesn’t matter - this rod is just a really nice addition to my collection and probably the first fishing setup purchase from Amazon that has been perfect.
