I bought this to heat my 65-gallon saltwater mix tank in my basement; it works great. I cannot complain about the money. It has a knob to adjust how warm you would like to keep water.

Angry customer!January 31, I purchased this heater and today on April 3 it is no longer working and at 10pm my fish tank is very cold!I am very angry and will most likely wake up to a dead fish community tank!3 months of use.

I use this to heat a 55 gallon drum in our greenhouse to help withstand the temperatures when it drops under 15F outside. It takes quite a while to heat up that much water but it is nice kind of set and forget and doesn't require extra space. The temperature knob on the top is not super accurate. I had it set at 90F and it seemed to cut off at about 73F . Took 1 star away because for my use both the power plug and the wire for the little digital thermometer should have been a couple feet longer.

I ordered this heater and really liked that it had a plastic guard to protect my pets and the suction cups provided support the unit well. No movement as with past heaters, which is great. The water thermometer did not work when received and the heater stopped working after less than 2 weeks. However, I ordered a replacement and it was sent and received promptly which I really appreciate as its important to keep my habitat heated. The second digital thermometer does not work either. From what I can see it seems to have the same defect as the prior. The heater works great so far and heated my 100 gallon tank back up to temp fast which I love! I would definitely buy products from this distributor again due to there prompt responses and shipments!

I'm honestly surprised by some of these reviews. Bought my first one 4 years ago, that one lasted 2 years, bought another one 2 years ago, and same thing. For the price this is a great FRESHWATER heater. I always get the 500watt for my 60gal, so maybe people are buying less watts, but if you go with more wattage than you need I've found these heaters do great and last a consistent amount of time. Please don't put this in saltwater. Get a titanium heater for saltwater. Just bought 4 more for other freshwater tanks and I have no complaints for the price. They're not very accurate when you set them to a temp using the numbers on the heater but if you double check it with the thermometer that comes with (be careful though, these are cheap so if you have multiple I'd check with a few and make sure they're all relatively accurate) you can set it up that way and it's consistent. Again, you get what you paid for and imo these are a bargain.

I ordered this product and it came broken, I started a return and ordered another heater. The second order came operable and in one piece. I am still waiting on the refund from the broken item I returned.
