We are using these for bite prevention from angry house cats. They are not "bite proof" as nothing really is, however, usually you will just get a pretty good pinch through the glove and not broken skin if a cat bites you while wearing these. Obviously, if the cat is very strong or angry to the point of super-power strength, you may need a different option like medications from your vet.

These run a little small for my husband, who I requested these for so he could wear them for welding. I must say though, he has very large hands. They fit me great and I use them when gardening and pruning my bougainvillea. Definitely stops me from being poked and stabbed by them. Great durability, dexterity, and very protective gloves. I'm happy to have them for myself.I can say the length is great. Covers a great amount. They will definitely protect during welding use. Just check the sizing.

I ordered these gloves for my wife to use when she is weeding around our rose bushes. She likes to do gardening work and I hate it, so anything I can do to make her life easier when gardening is good for me too. After I saw her arms with all the scratches from the thorns of the rose bushes, I started looking for a solution. This worked perfectly. These are very thick gloves and she can grab a handful of nettles and weeds and not feel a thing. The long-extended cuffs protect her arms when she has to weed around the base of the rose bushes.They are a bit large for her tiny hands and they do make her hands sweat a lot. I hope these gloves will last for a long time as they seem well made and should hold up to the abuse she will put them through.I am not sure how well these will work for welding gloves, so I cannot comment on that, but as gardening around thorns and stingy nettles they have worked a treat.....

I got these gloves to use for welding. The first pair I got the stitching on the inside was messed up. I reached out and got a replacement pair because they really were nice. The replacement pair is up to standard and they fit down to my elbows. The middle and ring finger fit tight in the gloves, I had the same issue with the first pair. Guess it is the way they are made. I really like how long they are. They are longer than my other welding gloves by at least two inches longer. The more coverage from the sparks the better.

These are soft inside and flexible so you can actually pick up a log or tool (not stiff like some others I've seen). I don't know if they're heavy duty enough for welding, but they're perfect for woodstove, fire pit, etc.
