I want to give thumb hold archery a try, so I decided to pick up a leather thumb ring and a metal one to try some alternate styles. This leather thumb ring so far is the one I prefer. It feels comfortable on my thumb, and I like how it has an adjustable fit. The leather is thick enough to ensure the bow string doesn't dig in, but flexible enough to not make using my hand feel awkward. I also notice it gives a nice smooth release. After a couple sessions shooting with it so far, I believe I will use this thumb ring over a metal one.
