I can tell you I was pretty surprised when the package came and it just contained one plate. I was thinking I was buying a set to go with the rest of my Johnson Brothers Old English Castles pink dinner plate set. But in retrospect, I'm glad it wasn't more, because it's far too casual to go with more formal dinner plates. Perhaps the "calypso" name should have been my first clue, but I was distracted by the Spode name, which is well known for high-end items. Just had this one in the dishwasher and it came out just fine, which is good for a plate. But with the blue rim and the green and yellow rings near the white center, I can't really use it with the other pink/white dish sets I have. It is also larger at 9.5" than the usual appetizer/side dish plates in my collection. So good plate, but be careful what you are using it with. Too playful for your classic dishware. Perhaps it was designed for a younger crowd than I am? In summary, I like the hot pink, but not the other colors they've chosen to pair it with. Doesn't look right on my table.

This side plate is a vibrant yellow with a playful design. The microwave- and dishwasher-safe plate is just the right size for a small meal or snack. It's is nice addition to my Kit Kemp collection, and it complements many of my other dishes—both plain and colorful.

A1 top of the line dinner plate... that's what I use it for. There is one issue though..... and that issue is, now that I have one plate, my wife says "get 3 more". Which is not really an issue but still, we've already got too many plates, but what can I say, this plate is ideal. The weight of the plate, is a delight.... ditto the colors and style and size... at 9.5 inches, it's a diner plate for me, not a side plate. I have the huge matching "soup" or "salad" bowl that was billed as a regular "cereal" bowl... but you'd have to be a giant or have 5 people sharing the cereal, it's so big... but this plate is just the right size High quality, well made, very attractive. Great product.

Will not burn you after microwaving. Dishwasher sturdy. Great beach colors. Made in Indonesia! LOVE THE SET. Get the bowl and larger dinner plate!

I love Spode and this design is brilliant. The yellow border is hugged with a beautiful red-pinkish edge on the outside and gorgeous blue on the inside. The photo does not do it justice. It took my breath away when I saw it. It could be used as a salad or side plate, but also for serving appetizers or small dishes too. It will go well on any festive table.

I ordered the Spode Kit Kemp Calypso side plate in the pink color. I absolutely love this vibrant, tropical collection! It arrived in perfect condition with no defects noted. The pink color is beautiful and has the turquoise and yellow accent trim from the other colors in the collection. The turquoise, pink, and yellow colors in the collection make for such a fun tablescape! The salad plate is 9.5" in diameter, made of porcelain, and is dishwasher and microwave safe. Stamped on the bottom is "Made in Thailand." I would like to see Spode offer this collection in a dinnerware set (maybe even mix and match colors) rather than offering each piece individually.

Yet again with the second quality pieces. Got a scratch in the eating surface of the plate and some raised bumps around the perimeter. Spode claims to be a premium brand but it's really not showing.

This adorable pink Spode plate is one of the Kit Kemp designs. The pink is vibrant. The plate is 9.5 inches. It combines the quality of Spode with the playfulness of Kit Kemp’s designs. This plate is sure to add life to your tablescape. The color is very cheerful. I want to get the coordinating plates in blue and yellow. I love all the whimsical Kit Kemp pieces. I recommend this plate highly!
