Arrived fully assembled. Installed in my trailer hitch easily. Anti-rattle bolt installed and locked without difficulty. I am using it to transport one e-bike which, with the battery removed (as suggested by the manufacturer of the bike) is just under the recommended weight for transport. Due to the design of my bike I had to purchase a top beam. The ratcheted retainer post holds the bike securely; I loaded and transported my bike without difficulty. The locking features gives me some peace of mind if I need to leave the bike on my car when parked for a short time. Easy to remove from car and fold for storage.

The rack arrived quickly & the box was in good condition. It comes boxed as a few fairly large components, so assembly was pretty straightforward. As others have said, the instructions aren't great (in fact, somewhat inaccurate) but still, no big problem. One small bit of MacGyvering was required. They understandably suggest the heavier bike should on 'the inside' (nearer the vehicle.) But they also say 'the smaller one should be on the inside', which I found confusing. I realized by 'smaller' they meant 'lower cross bar'. This is because the inside-facing hook which holds the inner bike down has a lower range of travel than the outside-facing one. In my case, the outside-facing hook couldn't go down low enough to grab the crossbar of my wife's bike. Fortunately, by undoing a couple of screws, I was able to swap the two hooks, so the inner one was higher and the outer one was lower. This way, the heavier & taller bike could be on the inside, and the lighter & lower bike could be on the outside. Anyway, it all worked out well, and the first trial drive with the bikes on the rack went well - good & sturdy, nothing shifting around or rattling, etc.

Purchased to fit new bike with 29"wheels. Folds up nice and small, good adjustability. One down fall is with the locks. I have a full suspension and the shock is in the way of the lock. Very hard to get the key in and out. Other then that bike is secure and fits good. Quality is ok for the price.

Easy enough for me to set up and take down myself. It has lock option for the bikes and lock for the hitch. Two thumbs up

I have seen the rack out and about and just installed it myself. So far I can only comment on the assembly and overall appearance. The rack comes with a hitch lock and locks on the hooks that hold the frame in place. The hitch lock is pretty much useless as the rack is screwed in the hitch receiver with 2 easily accessible screws which when removed you can take the whole rack with the bikes minus the receiver. Also if you tilt the vertical stick backwards you can slide the bikes out of the tires rests so that also makes these locks kinda useless. Other than that the rack was easy to assemble if you have the right nuts and it looks well made. I will update this review after using it on a trip if there is a negative experience.

Great rack. Easy to install, easy to put bikes on, very sturdy. Love the locking feature. This rack is as good or better than racks that cost twice as much.

This is a very impressive bike rack. The assembly instructions were a bit vague, but I was able to get it built eventually. I did find that I had to re-tighten some of the bolts after the first use. After that they seemed to stay nice and tight. After a bit of adjusting, my two mountain bikes fit the rack perfectly. The lockable components work very well, and add piece of mind when the bikes are left unattended. My truck has a 2-inch receiver, and I was skeptical that the smaller diameter receiver arm would be solid during driving. No problems though. The receiver mechanism allows me to tighten the rack very solidly. Top value for the price.

Some of the poorest written assembly directions I've seen... take a little while to figure out but not too many pieces to assemble. Well made for the money buy the lock will not work with the factory hitch that comes with the BMW SUV's

This bike rack is great for back of our suv. Allowing us to open the back of suv if needed. (Ford Explorer )The price is well worth every penny. Very easy adjust and Secure our bikes. Much easier then our older and expensive one which we put to the curb, due to the cumbersome nonsensical maneuvers one had to make to secure the bikes safely.I am five two and maybe 105 pounds and can easily attach to the suv then secure my bikes with out another personPulling and tugging to help get the bikes right. . It may not be a big deal to some but, to me it is if I can do this myself I would definitely purchase this again. No missing parts . Assembly very easy.

I've had this bike rack for months now but I was able to truly test this rack this past weekend. Two bikes were on the rack for 10 hours, including a 7.5-hour drive. One bike weighs around 41 lbs. The other around 40 lbs. The dips on the roads had me concerned the main bar which you connect to the hitch receiver might bend due to the weight of both bikes, the motion it absorbs from all the driving, and the hours it had to hold the bikes in a moving vehicle. When I got home, nothing was wrong with the rack. It's still as sturdy as ever. Kudos to an excellent product!

I'm replacing a similar Swagman rack. This one looks sturdier and better designed. It has built in locks for the rack and for the bikes which were not on the Swagman. It's still new so I can't give it a final rating but it looks promising. There are a few things that will keep it from earning 5 stars. The assembly instructions are less than great and missing at least one step. It sticks out unnecessarily far from the vehicle, and the 2" hitch adapter seems a bit flimsy.

This bike rack is easy to put two bikes on and off the vehicle. I like the way the locking pin keeps the whole rack from being removed. The arms that slide down onto the bicycle is strong and secure. I could stop and leave bikes unattended for a while without worry.
