This Spring Compressor Tool is a standout in the world of automotive tools. Crafted with precision and housed in a sleek, sturdy case, it exudes quality from the moment you lay eyes on it. Perfect for stock springs on cars and light SUVs, this tool is your go-to for those everyday suspension tasks. However, if you’re thinking of tackling the hefty coil springs on a full-size GM pickup, think again. This tool simply won’t fit around those larger springs. And for those of you with drop springs, you’ll need to opt for the U-bolt style compressor instead.Despite these limitations, this Spring Compressor Tool shines in its intended role. It’s reliable, easy to use, and perfect for light-duty tasks. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a seasoned mechanic, this tool will serve you well for the right applications.

I am a self taught mechanic and pretty much do all my own mechanic work and I have been wanting one of these for a while. This is a good entry level tool that will get the job done with some know how. These one you clamp around the outside and compress the spring and they are not the best but work well. You just have to make sure you place them in the right spot. I love that they come in a hard case so I can store them with all my other cased tools that I don't use that often. Definitely a great tool to have in the arsenal. They seem to be constructed out of very good materials, and I think they will last for years and years as long as I take care of them. They also arrived on time and are well Priced. Overall, I say if you need a one and done or just getting into doing mechanic work these are a very affordable/good choice.

Difficult fit blocks that go inside the spring too thick

Had a older tensioner and it was scary to use. Feel a lot safer with these. Lock keeps them in place so you can safely handle coils spring during strut replacement.

these are very helpful when you need to compress a car coil spring to replace spring or remove control arms/bushings.easier to use than the spring compressors that are made to be used inside the coil spring.i have both types and these are much easier to use.be sure to add a small amount of greese to the threads before useing.

I ordered this spring compressor because I need to change the springs on my jeep. Even after removing all the items the spring is still difficult to get out without compressing it. The same is true for reinstalling the spring, much easier to do when it is compressed. I wasn't sure what I thought I was going to get but the quality and durability of the compressor is way beyond expectation. The threads are well machined and do not appear to have any bad spots or blemishes. The clamps are solid and have deep pockets for the spring to sit in while compressing. The safety pins are absolutely essential because if the clamp were to come off while the spring was compressed, being compressed or being removed someone could get severely hurt. I have used spring compressors that were way more expensive, but the quality and durability did not match these. I always add a little lubrication to the threads just to make sure there is as little friction as possible because I want these to last. They come with instructions, and they should be consulted prior to using these as they do require a bit of caution. The box they come it is great for storing the compressor when not being used. It is heavy duty and, like the compressor itself, should outlast other tool boxes I have. On the inside cover of the storage box there is a graphic that states what side the drive is for the tool or what size socket is needed for it. This is nice because there are times you need to use a tool but don't remember what size socket or drive to use inevitably causing multiple trips to the tool box to get the right one. I am impressed with this and feel it will last a long time even under heavy use. I would recommend this spring compressor to anyone that likes the DIY projects like we do.Great product, Highly recommend.
