Got this for my new drip irrigation system, I’ve watched multiple videos and read instructions and cannot get it to work. I am no stranger to sprinkler timers and their quirks. This thing is a hellraiser puzzle box and I regret the energy I have already spent trying to get it to work.At 5pm the night before it’s supposed to run at 5am (12 hours away) it says 20 hours till next watering, manual turn on does not stay on no matter what I do and there is no indication it has ever run at the programmed times. Totally unreliable junk.

This product is really outstanding. At first I thought it might actually be defective, but only because there were a few things I didn't understand about it. First, when you put the batteries in it will a take a few minutes for the device to power up properly. If you try to program it before that happens, it will not work. Once I realized that was probably the issue, I removed the batteries for a few minutes until the display completely faded out, then put them back and waited about 5 minutes before I tried programming it again and it worked like a charm. The other thing that confused me was the display labeled "Next Time". You don't directly program this one. Its display is a result of the other things you did program, namely the current time (24 clock), how long you want the watering to be on, and how long you want to wait between waterings. I chose 30 minutes at 8 a.m., two days apart. The "Next Time" box will show you either days, hours or minutes depending upon how soon the next watering should occur. So, in my case, immediately after watering it will display 1 day. The next day at 8 a.m. it will begin to count down from 24 hours, 1 hour at a time. At 7 a.m. the following day it will begin to count down from 60 minutes. The confusion for me was that it cannot display more than one of these values at a time. So, if you wanted the watering to be separated by 3 days, immediately after the first watering it would display 2 days, then the next day it would display 1 day, and then the display would switch to count down from 24 hours, etc. Once you figure out how it works, it's really great. Unlike virtually every other unit like this that I have tried, it doesn't leak whatsoever. And the programming is very simple and so far very reliable. It is the only one I've ever had that I would even consider trusting if I weren't home. I live in south Florida where water is very expensive and I just had new shrubs planted, which are also very expensive. Knowing that this unit will ensure that they consistently receive the water that they need until they are well established provides tremendous peace of mind.

When I first opened the package and looked at the screen and saw all the buttons, my first thought was, "Uh oh, this is going to be difficult to set up". It actually turned out to be the opposite. Because of all the buttons with each labeled according to their function, this was super easy to set up. Reading through the instruction manual one time got me started and the actual process was very intuitive. It took me less than a minute to set up.The case itself is made of hard plastic and seems to be sturdily constructed. It's also heavy for its size which tells me that many if not most of the internal workings are not cheap plastic. The battery compartment actually completely detaches and has a rubber gasket to keep the battery compartment sealed off from water.I set it up for a test run and it performed as it should. I could not tell if there was any decrease in water pressure due to the timer. This is a good product with no observable deficiencies.

I have grown and killed a garden EVERY SINGLE year for the past 5 years. I get SUPER busy and I'm not home, so the garden gets neglected and dies. I feel horrible and I'm so mad and sad each time. I live in FL so we grow A LOT of stuff! I had some much growing each time it makes me sick thinking about it :( This will help!! I got a few (4) of these auto timers, a 4 part hose splitter, some pressure regulators, a drip irrigation system, a spray irrigation system, and a soak hose system. I plan to have each on it's own timer. So, if life gets busy again, my garden won't die!! I can't wait to get it all set up, but I'm starting small and adding to it slowly.

I have lots of drip irrigation throughout my landscaping. I have multiple zones set up with another multi-port timer and some single port timers. I got this timer for setting up a zone for my young trees. This timer dripped when it was not in watering mode. Also, there is no rain delay on the timer that I received and no way to just turn it off without removing the batteries.

Great price, easy setup. The second unit has issues/limits on going from seconds to minutes and throws an "ERR" code. Several resets and it is set but.....
