X-SYNC 2

Boost
A bicycle component standard that involves widening the spacing of the front and/or rear hub, which affects the frame, fork, and drivetrain components. The primary goal of Boost is to increase wheel stiffness and improve bike handling, especially in larger wheel sizes common in modern mountain bikes.
- Boost widens the hub spacing of the front and/or rear wheels. In the case of Boost 148 (rear)
- Hub width increases from the traditional 142mm to 148mm
- For Boost 110 (front), the hub width increases from the standard 100mm to 110mm
- This allows riders to run larger volume tires for improved traction, comfort, and control on rough trails
- The wider hub spacing of Boost provides a more favorable spoke bracing angle, resulting in increased wheel stiffness

Pretty reasonable price for a 7000 series alloy crank set, downside is the spindle diameter is SRAMs new DUB standard (28.99mm) so unless you previously had a DUB crankset you will need to buy a new bottom bracket. I decided to replace my hard-ridden, abused 5-year-old crank set with a newer one with an adjustable bearing preload as my previous race face did not have that and was developing a little bit of play. Also before you get this Do the research and get the proper DUB specific bottom bracket and make sure that you get the proper sized crankset based on your rear axle spacing (boost, super boost+, etc) You may need to pick up some DUB specific spacers to fit everything back together and to ensure your chain line is back to the bike frame manufacturer's recommendation.
