Feels wonderful. At first I thought the hard grip would be uncomfortable, but not at all.Feeds the perfect amount of lead with every click. I changed to 2B lead out of preference and it was even better. Has a cute little window that you can change to show what lead hardness you have.All around what you would expect from Staedler.

I liked that I can get these leads in 2B. Stores only sell leads in HB which is the basic lead in no. 2 pencils which I find too light in color. I have always preferred Staedtler leads partly because I can get them in 2B.

Staedtler tends to be a little more expensive than other brands, but their pricing matches the quality they produce. This refill fits my 0.7 mechanical pencil perfectly and is what I automatically grab when I desire a thicker/wider line. I can feel a difference when I write or draw with this vs an off brand - I have never experienced the scratchiness or drag that can plague other leads. This lead doesn't break easily, provides a consistent stroke, and erases cleanly. The refill arrived within the two day time frame that Prime advertises.Bottom Line: I will buy this again. Even the most prolific artist, or the "wordiest" scribe will have plenty of lead to keep them busy with the 12 pieces of lead contained in the protective little holder - it's nice to spend your time drawing or writing, rather than ordering additional product and waiting for it to arrive. I would recommend this - it is a supply I always have in my desk.

All of the Staedtler Mars mechanical pencil leads just arrived, so I haven't used them a lot, but they don't seem to break easily, and think they will work well for my drawing projects.
