Step 1: Choose a Recipe
Select a cookie recipe that is suitable for using a cookie press. The dough should be slightly moist for easier extrusion.
Step 2: Clean
Ensure that all parts of the cookie press, including the nozzle and tube, are clean and dry before use.
Steps for Use
1. Fill the Dough:
Roll the dough into small pieces to facilitate filling.
Remove the end cap of the press and take out the tube.
Carefully place the prepared dough into the tube, filling it adequately without overflowing to prevent spillage.
Reattach the tube and nozzle securely.
2. Choose a Mold:
Select your desired mold head and attach it firmly to the front of the press.
3. Use the Cookie Press:
Hold the cookie press vertically above your baking paper or tray, approximately 1-2 inches away.
Firmly grip the handle and gently press down. The nozzle will extrude the dough into the chosen cookie shape. Adjust the pressure as needed.
Release the handle, allowing it to return to its original position for the next use.
4. Repeat:
Move the cookie press to a new position each time and repeat the pressing action until the baking tray is filled with cookies.
5. Bake: Follow your recipe’s instructions and place the baking tray in a preheated oven. Monitor the cookies to prevent overbaking.
6. Cool:
After baking, remove the tray and let the cookies cool for a few minutes. Then transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Cleaning and Maintenance
After use, promptly disassemble the cookie press and wash all parts with warm water and mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners. Ensure all parts are completely dry before storing to prolong the product's lifespan.
Tips
If the dough is too dry, it may jam the cookie press. Consider adding a little liquid (such as milk or eggs) to adjust the moisture level.
