I’m using this stainless steel drip tray in my man shed, where it’s mounted below a tap setup. The listing claims “no drainage required,” which doesn’t make much sense because there’s a pre-drilled hole in the bottom of the tray, and it comes with a short hose meant to route liquid into a drain. That’s not optional—if you don’t attach it to something, whatever drips in will just run right out the bottom. I connected mine to a gravel pit I dug below the floor, which works fine for this kind of setup, but I wouldn’t call it self-contained.The tray itself is solid. It’s made of stainless steel, not the flimsy stuff that bends if you breathe on it. The edges are finished well, not sharp, and the grate slots in easily. It’s not welded on the corners—more of a folded and pressed construction—but it feels sturdy and holds its shape. Installing it was simple once I cut the hole for the drain line. If you’ve got a place to send the runoff—whether that’s a bucket, floor drain, or gravel pit like mine—then this tray does the job and looks clean doing it. Just don’t believe the part about “no drainage.” That’s marketing nonsense.
